There are many monumental creations representing devoted efforts of young people in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
In the chronicles of the revolution, the Korean young people wrought amazing miracles at the sites of grand construction including the Haeju-Hasong railway project, the northern railway project, the 40-odd-kilometre-long Youth Hero Motorway project and the construction of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station which had to overcome the most unfavourable nature and terrain in the Korean history of building hydropower stations.
The indomitable spirit of the Korean young people was based on the trust and love of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who always led and held them up.
Kim Il Sung called upon the young people to carry out difficult tasks during the building of a new democratic Korea, the Fatherland Liberation War, the postwar rehabilitation and construction, and the socialist construction.
And when they performed feats, he was pleased more than anybody else and praised them as heroes and patriots.
Kim Jong Il advanced the slogan "Love the Youth!" and handed the torch of revolution representing his trust and expectation over to the young people, wishing them to carry forward the revolutionary cause of Juche to completion generation after generation.
Kim Jong Un also called the young people the mental pillars and strong fulcra of the Workers' Party of Korea. When the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station was wonderfully built, he saw that the Monument to the Feats of the Heroic Youth shining with a gold-star medal was built.
Kim Jong Un gave the youth the task to carry out the construction project of a new street in the capital city, a major construction project this year.
Kim Kum Chol, Deputy Head of a Department of the Management Bureau of the August 28 Youth Shock Brigade, says:
"The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un assigned our young people the task of building the new street in the Sopho area, which will be an example and important experience in the new architectural development of the country and the capital city construction in particular.
He gave us such an important construction project, showing his greatest trust in the youth.
Now our young people are fully displaying their wisdom and courage in the construction, keeping his trust deep in their hearts."
It is the intention of Kim Jong Un that when the young people are in high spirits, the whole country will be stirred and when they quicken their steps, the future of a prosperous country will be brought earlier.
The Korean young people have performed only miracles and feats decade after decade and century after century under the love and trust of the peerlessly great men. Their proud history and tradition will shine forever.
