The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ), and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint in support of the press release issued by the DPRK permanent mission to the UN Office and international organizations in Vienna on the 4th of August ;
Recently the meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the 11th review conference of the so-called 'Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty ' (NPT ) was held. This became an occasion for the US and its vassal states to slander the DPRK over the issue of nuclear weapons claiming that the DPRK's nuclear weapons are a threat.
The press release of the DPRK permanent mission to the UN Office and international organizations in Vienna correctly points out that "international peace and security and the nuclear non-proliferation system, it has come evidently from the U.S. at present." This is indeed true because the US has the biggest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world, it is increasing expenditure on nuclear weapons and has failed to implement agreed treaties
The US is also actively pushing forward nuclear proliferation in the form of the so-called AUKUS treaty.It has also formed a 'nuclear consultative group ' with south Korea and is deploying openly nuclear weapons in south Korea.
The criticism of the DPRK by the US and its surrogates smacks of hypocrisy and double standards.
The DPRK has declared that it will not use nuclear weapons against a non-nuclear state and that it will not export or sell nuclear weapons to other countries Moreover the DPRK is not bound by the NPT as it exercised its legal right to withdraw from the treaty 20 years.
We denounce the US and its followers for hypocrisy and double standards. We also denounce the US for its nuclear threat and accelerating the nuclear arms race .
