President Kim Il Sung dedicated his whole life to the accomplishment of the cause of national reunification.

The President regarded it as his lifelong cause and desire to reunify the country.

Kim Il Sung who felt more painful than anybody else over the nation's misfortune by the national division worked heart and soul to reunify the country.

There was not a single day when he didn't bend his mind to the national reunification.

From the day of the country's division, Kim Il Sung held up national reunification as the most important task of the nation and evolved the guideline for the accomplishment of the cause of national reunification.

The President set forth the three principles for independence, peaceful reunification and great unity of the nation in the 1970s, the plan of founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo in the 6th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea held in October, 1980, and the 10-point program of the great unity of the whole nation for the reunification of the country at the 5th Session of the 9th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK in April, 1993.

President Kim Il Sung wrote his last signature on a historic document concerning the country's reunification at the last moment of his life. There are no great men such as the President who devoted his all energies and intelligence to the reunification of the country and laid a rock-solid foundation for accomplishing the reunification of the nation.

Outstanding ideologies and titanic exploits for the national reunification provided by the President throughout his whole life remain long as not only an encyclopedic guideline for the everlasting prosperity of the nation, but also a bright beacon lightening up the path of national reunification.

Undying feats performed by the great leader President Kim Il Sung who gave wise leadership to the movement for the national reunification and provided a sure guarantee for national reunification with his ardent love for the motherland and nation, unusual wisdom and noble virtue will shine forever along with the national history.
