Glorious cause of Juche Party Building Splendidly Carried Forward ! -special article by Dr Dermot Hudson

 

On June 19th 1964 comrade KIM JONG IL , the great successor to President KIM IL SUNG ,began working at the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea . Comrade KIM JONG IL had joined the glorious Workers’ Party of Korea on the 22nd of July 1961.

The Workers Party of Korea(WPK) ,founded by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG , is the supreme general staff of the Korean revolution as well as the guide and organiser of all the Korean people’s victories . The WPK was not only a party conducting class struggle against the enemies of socialism and the US imperialists but also a party that takes care of people’s lives . Therefore comrade KIM JONG IL assumed great responsibilities when he began working at the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea in June 1964 .A working class party does not build itself on its own , it needs strong and correct leadership as well as the correct lines,ideas  and policies . Without strong leadership a working class party is like a boat without a rudder on a stormy sea .

When comrade KIM JONG IL started his work at the Central Committee of the WPK ,after studying at KIM IL SUNG University , storms of revisionism , of Right and Left opportunism were swirling across the socialist camp and the international communist movement . Comrade kIM JONG IL made sure that the WPK anchored itself firmly in the ideas of its founder and guide ,the great leader President KIM IL SUNG .It was a key task in party building to cement the unity of the party around the Juche idea of President KIM IL SUNG and to establish the monolithic ideological system within the Party . After the 15th Plenary meeting of the 4th Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea in 1967 at which the remaining counter-revolutionary anti-party factionalists were finally defeated , comrade KIM JONG IL led the struggle to establish the monolithic ideological system pointing out that “ The Party ‘s monolithic ideological system is, in other words, the leader ‘s ideological system and system of guidance. In our Party there can only be the leader ‘ s revolutionary ideas and guidance. Without them the existence of our Party is inconceivable. The revolutionary idea of the great leader is the eternal guiding ideology of our Party and revolution. Thanks to the wise guidance of the leader our people could not only victoriously fight their way across tens of thousands of ri in the bloody war against the Japanese imperialists, and defeat the US imperialist aggressors, in the three-year-long Fatherland Liberation War, but also succeed in the postwar reconstruction and socialist revolution and achieve miraculous successes in the building of socialism, to the admiration of the people throughout the world.

We must improve the education on Party policy, the revolutionary traditions and socialist patriotism of Party members and the working people. The main emphasis in the education need s to be on the establishment of the Party ، ̄s monolithic ideological system” 

Comrade KIM JONG IL also energetically led mass movements to model the whole of society on the Juche idea and also to kindle the flames of mass innovation so as to increase production . He also increased the Party’s guidance over literature ,culture and film as well as the military .

Thanks to the decades long guidance of the work of building the Workers Party of Korea by comrade KIM JONG IL , the Party did not stumble or falter on the road of Juche party building but came through with flying colours as others fell down and disappeared .Thus the anniversary of the start of comrade KIM JONG IL ‘s work at the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea is celebrated with pride by the Korean people and world progressive people including communists . Today the work of comrade KIM JONG IL is carried forward by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN.
