Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of greeting to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR), on Dec. 2.
The message extended warm congratulations to the general secretary and the fraternal Lao party, government and people on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of the LPDR.
For the past 47 years since the founding of the LPDR the Lao party, government and people have made great achievements in the struggle to firmly defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and consolidate and develop the people's democratic system to build a thriving socialist state, the message noted.
Today the Lao party, government and people are making fresh progress in accomplishing the cause of attaining the ultimate goal of socialism by implementing the decision made at the 11th Party Congress, it said.
Expressing belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and two countries formed in the joint struggle for socialism would invariably develop on good terms, the message sincerely wished the general secretary bigger successes in his responsible work. -0-
