Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a wreath to the Liberation Tower on August 14 on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
Upon authorization, Ri Il Hwan, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, laid the wreath sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un before the tower.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, Im Chon Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Jo Chol Ryong, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Association, and officials concerned.
The participants paid tribute to the martyrs. -0-
