The Korean Friendship Association of the UK held a picket of the US Embassy on Saturday 06.08.2022 at 1500 hours . Participating were members of KFA UK , of the New Communist Party including general secretary Andy Brooks and a CC member , the Consistent Democrats /Communist Fightback and broad anti-imperialist forces.
A message from KFA Greece was received which read in part “Recently, the U.S. imperialists have set in motion a new wave of aggression, in the form of official visits and upcoming military exercises with their puppet states.
The DPRK will not hold back when it comes to its survival, as it happened in the past already. It will remain steadfast and vigorous and crush any aggressive stance against the masses of Korea, since the masses themselves hold the power in their own hands, and they are fully equipped physically and ideologically, to deal with petty attempts to rob them of their independence.
Brothers and sisters, I applaud your current action and stand by your side, even if my presence there is out of possibility’s reach. KFA Greece as a whole will fight and aid its allies’ efforts to defend People’s Korea in any way or form possible and I address you both as myself and as KFA Greece.”
Dr Dermot Hudson, Chairman of KFA UK spoke denouncing the US for its crimes during the past Korean War and stressed that ‘ The hostile policies of the US against the DPRK have steadily intensified over the decades since the Korean War with the US imposing massive sanctions against the DPRK year after year . The hostile policy of the US towards the DPRK is being continued by the Sleepy Joe Biden administration .Early in 2022 , the Biden administration imposed fresh sanctions on the DPRK . Recently , the wicked witch Pelosi visited south Korea and visited the Demilitarised Zone…She called for the overthrow of the DPRK's socialist system through so-called 'denuclearisation ' Dr Hudson denounced the Pacific Dragon and Ulji Freedom Shield exercises saying that “Ulji Freedom Shield has nothing to do with freedom but everything to do with "regime change" thereby extending the corrupt fascist rule of the south Korean puppets to the northern half of Korea and with establishing US imperialist colonial rule over the whole of the Korean peninsula and achieving the US domination of Asia and the Pacific.”
Dr Hudson read out the statement of the director general of the Department of Press and Information of the DPRK Foreign Ministry concerning the Pelosi visit .
Dr Hudson also stressed that “ despite 70 years of sanctions and blockade plus natural disasters the DPRK is implementing popular welfare policies such as free education, free housing , free medical care without taking a penny from its citizens in taxation . The DPRK has virtually eliminated Covid 19 in just under 3 months without outside help when other countries can see no end in sight to the Covid 19 crisis.”
Lastly , Dr Hudson denounced attempts by the US imperialist to shut down KFA by.
Placards denouncing the US and calling for an end to the US occupation of south Korea were held up along with the KFA UK banner and also a DPRK .
Some passers by said that the US had denounced Korea’s division by the US imperialists.
