An online meeting to mark the 77th anniversary of Korea’s Liberation was held at 1500 hours BST on 14.08 .2022 . It was co-hosted by KFA UK , KFA Greece , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea , the Juche Idea Study Group of Greece and Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK . Participating in the meeting were members of KFA UK from London and Staffordshire as well as members of KFA Greece . KFA UK West of England was unable to attend the meeting and sent a paper instead . The meeting also received revolutionary greetings from KFA Zimbabwe .
In his statement sent to the meeting , the head of KFA UK West of England wrote that “The liberation of Korea from many years of oppression by the Japanese occupation, brought freedom to the popular masses and its civilization, educational, cultural and social advancement, brought the Korean nation a huge advance in the international arena in the creation of a fully free and sovereign state of socialist democracy. This made it possible for the masses of the people to act for systemic transformations, through socialism with Korean
characteristics, through revolutionary processes of building a
state of social welfare and freedom from human exploitation by
man….
…..The anniversary of the liberation of Korea, is also an occasion to
pay tribute to those who died in the struggle for this liberation.
Let us remember the thousands of brave soldiers, who sacrificed
their heroic lives to make Peoples Korea what it is now, an Asian
superpower and a free independent country. A powerful country
of Juche, an exemplary model of socialism.”
Dr Dermot Hudson, KFA UK Chairman and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in his speech firstly praised the DPRK for eliminating Covid 19 pointing out that “the total superiority of the Juche-based people-centred socialism has been proved by the DPRK's victory over Covid 19. Juche -based socialism is infinitely superior to the decadent , corrupt capitalist system in south Korea and the system in the so-called ' free ' and 'democratic ' countries of the capitalist world”
Dr Hudson also referred to the speech of comrade Kim Yo Jong which said that the south Korean puppets infiltrated Covid 19 into the DPRK . With regard to the 77th anniversary of Korea’s liberation Dr Hudson said “ The Juche-oriented guerrilla tactics of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and the indomitable struggle of the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army (later the Korean People's Revolutionary Army ) tore the guts out of Japanese imperialism, defeating the million strong Kwantung army of Japanese imperialism. The barbaric Japanese imperialist invaders were expelled from the land of Korea at last.
The defeat of Japanese imperialism, one of the main forces and shock brigade of international fascism , by the partisans of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led by the great leader general KIM IL SUNG made a great contribution to the victory of the worldwide anti-fascist forces “
The head of the KFA Greece Cultural Office and member of the Juche Idea Study Group of Greece in his contribution said “ After a very harsh period of cruel occupation by the Japanese, Eternal President Kim Il Sung, saw a country with empty banks, underwhelming administrative capabilities and weak infrastructure. Yet, he put in lots of hard work to push forward, only for the country to be razed into the ground by American bombers during the Fatherland Liberation War, however, the Korean People withstood that too, and victoriously kept marching into socialist progress, under the guidance of their hard working Leader, and the Juche Idea.
After many decades, and various events that happened against the DPRK, today, the Korean People are putting achievement after achievement under their belts, without ever doubting their way or thinking about ‘’reformism’’.
A bright example is their very recent victory against the COVID-19 pandemic, while western countries are being put under mandatory vaccination programmes for a year or even two, with abysmal results. Yet, it took the DPRK around 90 days (since the recent emergency case of outbreak) to eradicate the virus, in their own way, full of independent spirit and pride in their superior socialist system, which is centered around the People’s wellbeing, and not the profits of a select few bourgeois capitalists.”
The Chairman of KFA Greece said that we must never underestimate the danger of Japanese imperialism and expansionism which threatens peace in Asia . He pointed out that if Japan invaded the DPRK , then the KPA and Korean people led by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN would win .
The music ‘ Masters of the Revolution “ was played .
The short documentary film ‘ Arch of Triumph ‘ was shown .
A letter to respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted .
