The anniversary of the liberation of Korea from Japanese colonial rule and Japanese colonial oppression, has a special, even symbolic, meaning each year.
In this year we celebrate the 77th anniversary of liberation, it is an occasion to reflect on the genesis, course and achievements of this historic event.
The most important achievement of the liberation of the Korean nation is undoubtedly the independence of the DPRK.
The liberation struggle of the Korean people lasted a long time, full of difficult battles and full of hard days of uneasy struggle. Thanks to the instilled will of relentless struggle and the desire for freedom by President Kim Il Sung, the Korean people freed themselves from the shackles of slavish oppression by the Japanese occupiers.
The liberation of Korea from many years of oppression by the Japanese occupation, brought freedom to the popular masses and its civilization, educational, cultural and social advancement, brought the Korean nation a huge advance in the international arena in the creation of a fully free and sovereign state of socialist democracy. This made it possible for the masses of the people to act for systemic transformations, through socialism with Korean characteristics, through revolutionary processes of building a state of social welfare and freedom from human exploitation by man.
All this would not be possible, if not for the revolutionary struggle initiated by President Kim Il Sung, who awakened the Korean people to revolutionary consciousness, to faith and a will to fight the chains of colonial oppression. President Kim Il Sung, by his revolutionary activity in creating various anti - Japanese resistance organizations, by uniting various forces in an anti - Japanese coalition and especially creating a guerrilla people's army to fight Japanese imperialism, he forged the foundations of a future victory. The victories that gave rise to the present power and prosperity of the socialist state of People’s Korea.
The anniversary of the liberation of Korea, is also an occasion to pay tribute to those who died in the struggle for this liberation. Let us remember the thousands of brave soldiers, who sacrificed their heroic lives to make Peoples Korea what it
is now, an Asian superpower and a free independent country. A powerful country of Juche, an exemplary model of socialism.
Today, Korean socialism is a historical fact confirming the vivid and creative nature of the development of Marxism - Leninism in specific systems and social conditions of the DPRK. On the ideological sphere, it is confirming the correctness and social laws of the Marxist paths, of social development in their dialectical processes, creating new achievements of the international communist movement and enriching this movement with new values and experiences. Following the words of Lenin, who envisioned the development of socialism in the multilayered national paths of the development of socialism, saying that each nation would reach socialism separately and by its own way, the Korean path of revolution, together with a magnificent victory, confirm this thesis in its entirety, confirm the living and creative soul of Marxism, revealing in Juche deeply humanistic and pro - social philosophy. A philosophy that has discovered new frontiers of scientific understanding of the human being and its social character.
