On March 24th the roar of a Juche ICBM was once again heard in People’s Korea . This was the first time since November 2017 that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK ) tested an Intercontinental ballistic missile or iCBM . On the 23rd of March respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK ) , President of the State Affairs of the DPRK and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK gave the order for the test of the new type ICBM , the Hwasongpho 17 .
On the afternoon of the 24th of March at Pyongyang International Airport under the guidance of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , the Hwasongpho 17 ICBM was successfully tested . The ICBM blasted off from the airport and travelled for a distance of 1 090 km ( or 677 miles ) for 67 minutes at an altitude of 6 248.5 km which is 15 times higher than the International Space Station . The Hwasongpho 17 ICBM is probably the biggest road based missile in the world . It can hit both coasts of the US . Some commentators say that the Hwasongpho 17 can carry multiple warheads .

There can be no doubt that the successful test is a great victory for People’s Korea . People’s Korea is a member of the small club of ICBM possessing nations . Even my own country Britain does not have its own ICBMs , having abandoned its ICBM programme a few decades due to pressure from the US and financial problems . The Hwasongpo 17 ICBM represents another great leap forward in the DPRK’s Juche-based weaponry .
The test of the Hwasongpho 17 ICBM proves the correctness of the Juche Idea and the Songun (army first ) idea . The Hwasongpho 17 ICBM is the product of self-reliance , made with 100 per DPRK resources and technology . Thanks to Juche and self-reliance no imperialist sanctions against People’s Korea work . The DPRK has been under intense sanctions by the UN for the past 6 years and the US blockade against the DPRK has lasted for decades . However the DPRK was able to produce and test the Hwasongpho 17 ICBM . The DPRK is correctly prioritising national defence at a time when the world situation has become unstable and the US imperialists have stepped up military pressure against People’s Korea and have carried out provocative exercises in south Korea .
The Hwasongpho 17 ICBM test is also a great blow to those who wanted the DPRK to abandon Juche , independence and anti-imperialism and go in for ‘reform ‘ and ‘opening up ‘ . It is proof that People’s Korea is not compromising with US imperialism and is maintaining a revolutionary anti-imperialist independent line . Back in 2018 some people were saying that the DPRK had given into US imperialism by holding a summit with the US president . Some thought that the DPRK would unilaterally disarm and there were even wild rumours about McDonalds opening in Pyongyang and the DPRK joining the IMF. None of this happened . Not only has the DPRK not dismantled a single ICBM or nuke but now it is testing more advanced ICBMs .
It is not a surprise that the imperialists and reactionaries are linking calls for the abandonment of the DPRK’s national defence programme with calls for the DPRK to accept imperialist aid and ‘reform ‘ and ‘ open up . The aid of imperialism is fake and will be used to destroy socialism .
When I heard the news of the test of the Hwasongpho 17 ICBM I felt mentally refreshed .
Victory to People’s Korea !
Long live Juche !
Long live self-reliance !
Long live Songun !
