“Kim Jong il's Contribution to the Development and Implementation of the Juche Idea”.

This year , 2022 or Juche 111 , is a very significant year for the Korean people and Juche idea followers throughout the world because it will see the 110th anniversary of the birth of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG , the 80th anniversary of the birth of the great leader chairman KIM JONG IL , the 10th anniversary of the election of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN to the position of supreme leadership and the 105th anniversary of the birth of the anti-Japanese war heroine , Madame KIM JONG SUK.
A few days ago it was the Day of the Shining Star , the greatest national holiday of the Korean people . It has a greater significance this year as it is the 80th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL . He was the successor to the Juche revolutionary cause initiated and pioneered by President KIM IL SUNG , the eternal red sun of Juche . On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of comrade KIM JONG IL we recall the great achievements and exploits of comrade KIM JONG IL. Most notable and significant among the exploits of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL is his contribution in developing and implementing the Juche Idea .
Comrade KIM JONG IL developed in depth the Juche Idea which had been first authored and pioneered by President KIM IL SUNG. President KIM IL SUNG had first outlined the Juche idea in his famous speech `` The Path of the Korean Revolution” which was given to a meeting of the leading personnel of the Young Communist League and the Anti-Imperialist Youth League in Kalun on June 30, 1930 . Later in the 1950s President KIM IL SUNG published the famous speech ‘ "On Eliminating Dogmatism and Formalism and establishing Juche in ideological work’ and in 1972 in an interview with a Japanese journalist titled " On some problems of our party's Juche idea and the government of the Republic's internal and external policies" outlined the Juche idea.
Comrade KIM JONG IL , the successor to President KIM IL SUNG carried forward the work of developing the Juche Idea . He concentrated on the overall systemisation of the Juche idea . This year will also see the 40th anniversary of the publication of the classic treatise of comrade KIM JONG IL ‘ On the Juche Idea ‘ which was first published on the 31st of March 1982 . In this work, which was originally presented to the National Seminar in the DPRK on the occasion on the 70th birthday of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG , comrade KIM JONG IL , looked at the Juche idea in its entirety and systematised it . . In the work he examined the application of the Juche idea to philosophy and historiography as well the application of the Juche idea in practical fields. In this work for the first time in the history of philosophy, comrade KIM JONG IL defined the nature and essence of man. He said that man is a being , with independence,creativity and consciousness. These three factors form an integral whole. He taught that Juche proves that man is the master of the world, he said
"The Juche idea shows a new viewpoint and attitude to the world, on the basis of man′s position and role as master of the world.
The viewpoint and attitude to the world shown by the Juche idea are those with which the world is approached by focusing on man, the master of the world.
Taking a man-centred attitude towards the world means approaching the world from the viewpoint of interests of man, the master of the world."
This work demonstrates the true philosophical genius of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL. It is a brilliant manifesto for complete human liberation in all fields. It gives correct answers for those building socialism, correct answers for those overcoming imperialist oppression building new independent societies , correct answers for those struggling for independence against imperialism and correct answers for those fighting against capitalist oppression and exploitation in order to build a new society of independence ,without the exploitation of man by man . It is a guiding compass for humanity
Comrade KIM JONG IL also wrote a number of other works such as “ Problems of Education in the Juche Idea’ , “On Establishing the Juche Outlook On the Revolution’ and ‘ The Juche Philosophy Is An Original Revolutionary Philosophy’ in which he further explained the validity and superiority of the Juche Idea .
Comrade KIM JONG IL who was a man of action , strived hard to implement the Juche idea in practice . In the mid 1970s he put forward the programme of modelling the whole society on the Juche idea , on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism .
Under the leadership of comrade KIM JONG IL the guiding principles of the Juche idea namely Juche in ideology , independence in politics , self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in defence were implemented.
. When President KIM IL SUNG passed away suddenly in 1994, the imperialists secretly offered aid to the DPRK on the condition that the DPRK abandoned Juche and adopted ‘reform’ and ‘opening up ‘ , Comrade KIM JONG IL made sure that this was rejected and that the DPRK stuck firmly to the road of Juche declaring ‘Expect No Change From Me . This was a decisive rebuff to the imperialists as well as an assertion of the DPRK’s independence . In 1997 comrade KIM JONG IL published the work ‘On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction’( it will the 25th anniversary of its publication ) which asserted the need for the DPRK to maintain the Juche character and national character in the revolution and construction as well dealing a powerful blow to so-called theories about globalisation .
Comrade KIM JONG IL worked heart and soul to build an independent national economy . He went to Jagang province in the far northern part of the DPRK , there he kindled the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance saying that " the people of Jagang province are giving full play to the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude , they are strong-willed and never seem to get pessimistic ". Comrade KIM JONG IL also visited the Chollima Steel Complex , the birthplace of the Chollima movement ( Chollima was a legendary flying horse of Korea which could cover a big distance in one day so the name was given to the mass innovation movement of workers in the DPRK) and other key industrial complexes and factories.
Under the leadership of comrade KIM JONG IL, self -reliant industries of the DPRK such as the Vinalon industry , the Juche steel industry and the Juche fertiliser industry were revitalised and built up . Self-reliant socialist construction surged ahead .
Self-reliance in national defence was also thoroughly implemented by comrade KIM JONG IL . He turned the DPRK into an invincible military power , a nuclear power of the Juche . He did not believe in looking to other countries but instead worked hard to build up the independent national defence capabilities ,travelling many miles to give guidance to army units and the national defence industry .
Comrade KIM JONG IL was a great leader of towering achievements in both the field of theory and the field of practice .
The achievements,philosophy and ideas of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL will live forever . Today they are carried forward by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN who is leading the Korean people forward to build socialism under the unfurled banner of Juche and self-reliance in the face of the despicable moves of the imperialist -led hostile forces
