The UK Korean Friendship Association issued the following statement in support of the Appeal of the Asia-Pacific Regional Preparatory Committee in Celebration for the 110th Birthday of President KIM IL SUNG and the 80th Birthday of His Excellency KIM JONG IL that was adopted at the online meeting of theAsia Pacific Regional Committee for Peaceful Reunification of Korea on the 31st of May this year 2021 ;
We support the appeal issued by the Asia-Pacific Regional Preparatory Committee in Celebration for the 110th Birthday of President KIM IL SUNG and the 80th Birthday of His Excellency KIM JONG IL because President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL were the greatest of great leaders who championed independence and justice . They did not deflect an inch from the paths that they chose .
President KIM IL SUNG was the great genius of revolution who created the immortal Juche idea and liberated Korea from Japanese imperialist rule . President KIM IL SUNG built a people's paradise on the land of Korea and created a model country of socialism . Chairman KIM JONG IL developed the Juche Idea and administered Songun politics . He defended the dignity and independence of Korea in the confrontation with imperialism . Also put the DPRK onto the launchpad of a great thriving socialist nation .
Therefore it devolves us in friendship and solidarity organisations to organize meaningful celebrations of the 110th anniversary of the birth of President KIM IL SUNG and the 80th anniversary of the birth of Chairman KIM JONG IL.
Moreover defending People's Korea from the vile slanders of the imperialists should be priority No 1 of friendship and solidarity organisations so let us double and treble our efforts to show the reality of People's Korea to the world ,
