ASSPUK, BGSJI, UK KFA and BSCPRKP on support statement of DPRK Olympic Committee

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP)  support the statement of the spokesman of the  DPRK Olympic Committee that was issued on the 17th of July;

  It is an insult to the Korean people and nation that the Tokyo Olympic Games Organizing Committee on the torch relay map marked Tok island , the inviolable territory of the DPRK as Japanese territory . These kind of rash actions by Japan call into question the suitability of Japan as a venue for the Olympics .

  Tok Island is irrefutably part of the Korean nation . This is recognised by international law and has a historical basis . Japan is acting in such a shameless way by using the Olympics as a means for territorial expansion . This goes totally against the idea and spirit of the Olympics .

Worse still the International Olympic Committee have connived at the actions of Japan by suddenly reversing their position and gave the green light to Japan to designate Tok Island as Japanese territory on the Olympic torch relay map . 

 Our organisations are totally appalled by these actions and strongly denounce them . We support the call made by the DPRK Olympic Committee for the Olympic torch map to be corrected and for impartiality to be observed.
