The Korean People's Revolutionary Army(KPRA ) was founded as the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG in April 1932 . It was the first revolutionary armed force of Juche as well as being a revolutionary armed force of the workers and peasants of Korea . The KPRA led by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG , an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander and gifted military strategist ,fought in the spirit of self-reliance and won many victories over the Japanese imperialist aggressors .Korea was liberated thanks to the efforts of the KPRA .
The KPRA became the basis of the regular revolutionary armed forces of Juche Korea, the Korean People's Army (KPA ) . The KPA fully inherited the revolutionary spirit of the KPRA . Under the guidance of President KIM IL SUNG , Chairman
KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN , the KPA has been built up as a mighty force of Juche and Songun , strong in both ideology and weaponry .
