Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- A military parade began in Kim Il Sung Square at 00:00 of October 10, the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The band of the State Affairs Commission (SAC) and the military band of the Korean People's Army (KPA) entered the square and took the bandstand to play parade music.
Parade columns proudly entered the square under spotlights, demonstrating the might of the DPRK and the regularized appearance of its armed forces.
Columns of invincible mechanized units were on standby on the avenues to the square.
Air squadrons for the parade were waiting for their sorties.
A combined military band entered the square and began playing military music in ever-changing formation to portray the numbers and letters "10.10.", "1945", "2020" and "Paeksung" (Invincibility).
When Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, chairman of the SAC and commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the DPRK, arrived at the square, a solemn ceremony of receiving him was held by the honor guard of the services of the Korean People's Army (KPA).
After receiving a salute from the chief of the honor guard, the Supreme Leader of the Party, state and armed forces of the DPRK reviewed the honor guard.
The outstanding commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the DPRK, an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander, was greeted by generals of the three KPA services (ground, naval and air forces).
Amid the playing of the welcome music, the Supreme Leader took the tribune of the square.
He waved back to the enthusiastically cheering paraders and masses.
Members of the Korean Children's Union presented flowers to him and leading officials of the Party, the government and the military.
Taking the tribune were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Ri Pyong Chol, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee.
Also present at the tribune were Kim Jae Ryong, Ri Il Hwan, Choe Hwi, Pak Thae Dok, Kim Yong Chol, Choe Pu Il, Thae Hyong Chol, O Su Yong, Kim Hyong Jun, Ho Chol Man, Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong, Pak Myong Sun, Jong Kyong Thaek, Kim Il Chol, Im Chol Ung, Ri Ryong Nam, Kim Yong Hwan, Pak Jong Nam and other members of the leadership body of the Party Central Committee, Pak Jong Chon, Kim Su Gil, Kim Jong Gwan and other commanding officers of the military.
Present at the special seats on invitation were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Yang Hyong Sop, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok and other veteran officials who had worked for a long time in the Party, the government and the military.
Present at the reserved seats were delegates to the celebrations for the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK.
Amid the playing of the song "The Glorious Country", a salute of 21 guns was boomed to mark the founding anniversary of the WPK.
The Supreme Leader made an address.
In his address, he extended heartfelt thanks and warmest congratulations to all the people in the country and the service personnel of the People's Army who glorified the great October holiday with great successes and victories they achieved by breaking through unprecedentedly harsh trials with single-minded unity.
Expressing his will to preserve eternal security and future of the country and great people with strong military muscle and start the advance toward new development and prosperity with greater courage, optimism, enthusiasm and readiness, he ardently called for dynamically advancing toward a bright future of socialism and a new victory.
All the participants, who received the speech of the Supreme Leader full of his ardent love for the people and sincere trust in them, broke into cheers of hurrah, looking up to the great leader with tears in their eyes.
Then, there was a ceremony of hoisting a national flag.
KPA Marshal Pak Jong Chon, chief of the KPA General Staff, made a report to KPA Marshal Ri Pyong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, that parade units were ready to be reviewed for the parade marking the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK.
Ri Pyong Chol reviewed the parade units.
He courteously reported to the chairman of the WPK that the military parade for marking the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK was ready to start.
The columns of the armed forces of the DPRK began marching at the orders of Marshal Pak Jong Chon, chief of the KPA General Staff.
Then the column of the honored cavalrymen ran past the square led by Major General Kwak Jae Yong, showing that our revolutionary armed forces have carried forward the proud traditions of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army which used to sweep across the vast field of Mt. Paektu horseback during the anti-Japanese war.
Entering the square following it were the fine arrays of columns of marchers led by Col. General Han Sun Chol, Col. General Kim Chol Gyu, Lieut. General Kim Yong Ho and Col. General Kwak Chang Sik full of pride and honor of being the closest lifeguard and the first death-defying corps in devotedly safeguarding the Party Central Committee.
The columns of the first and the second corps marched past with dignity, led by Col. General Pak Su Il and Col. General Choe Tu Yong.
They were followed by the columns of the fourth and the fifth corps led by Col. General Pak Kwang Ju and Col. General Ri Thae Sop.
Resounding far and wide through and beyond the square were the footsteps of columns of the snipers and light infantrymen that have grown to be special operation forces capable of successfully carrying out combat tasks in any operational spaces in the land and sea and air, and of the military corps standing guard over the outpost lines and foremost bases for defending the country and the revolution.
The Supreme Leader acknowledged the marchers.
The column of tanks and armored vehicles division that has grown to be matchless combat ranks including the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division and the columns of mechanized infantry division, men with special duties and armed mobile units for public security marched past in fine array to the tune of a revolutionary army song.
Following them to pass the square full of the spirit of the revolutionary army were the columns of Kim Jong Il University of Military and Politics, Kim Il Sung Military University, Kim Il Sung University of Politics and Kim Jong Un University of National Defence and columns of military schools at all levels of the Korean People's Army and the Public Security Forces.
The column of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and that of the Young Red Guards that have grown to be invincible militant ranks to hold their shares of the revolutionary armed forces marched past the square full of immense pride and enthusiasm.
The Supreme Leader warmly acknowledged the marchers demonstrating the heroic stamina of victory.
Then there was flight in the sky above the square, displaying the invincible might of the Juche-based air force.
Following the formation of guard planes, red hawks, in the patterns of the party emblem and number reading "75", flew past the sky above the square while letting off the fireworks to brighten the sky.
Amid the blaring of solemn music by the combined band, the columns of mechanized units began their procession led by the column of armored vehicles, demonstrating the great might of the elite revolutionary army.
The column of prototype tanks, a symbol and the iron fist of the militant power of the People's Army, roared past the square led by Lieut. General Kim Ju Sam.
This was followed by the procession of the reliable artillery pieces, the most powerful armed force, adding confidence to the spectators.
Ultra-modern weapons that were created thanks to the noble loyalty and heroic struggle waged by the scientists and technicians in the field of national defence and the working people in munitions industry were driven past the square, showing off the military potential of the country.
The columns of rockets, a symbol of the nuclear deterrence for self-defence of the WPK, which are a guarantee for the eternal future of the country and the nation, were driven past then.
They were followed by the column of the Red Flag First Company of the Intercontinental Ballistic Rocket led by Col. General Jang Chang Ha, with the pride of having launched the dignity and might of Korea into the space on the historic day November 29, 2017, striking terror and horror into the enemies.
The huge nuclear strategic forces on which hinge the authority and security of our great state and people entered the square led by Col. General Kim Jong Sik, taking the whole square by excitement and enthusiasm.
At the end of the military parade, fireworks for celebration were shot off.
