Kim Jong Un Leaves for China

Kim Jong Un , chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, will visit the People’s Republic of China from June 19 to 20.

Kim Jong Un together with his wife Ri Sol Ju came to Pyongyang International Airport on the morning of June 19 to visit China.

A ceremony to see them off took place at the airport.

The respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was warmly seen off by members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK.

He shook hands and exchanged greetings one by one with the senior officials who came to see him off and boarded the plane for his personal use.

The senior party and government officials heartily wished for good successes in his visit to China and for safe return.

The plane carrying the Supreme Leader took off at the airport at 09:20 a.m. amid the send-off by the senior party and government officials.

He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, Ri Su Yong, Kim Yong Chol and Pak Thae Song, members of the Political Bureau and vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK, Ri Yong Ho, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and minister of Foreign Affairs, No Kwang Chol, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and minister of the People’s Armed Forces, and members of the C.C., WPK and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.

Kim Jong Un Arrives in Beijing

Kim Jong Un , chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, arrived in Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China.

The plane carrying him landed at Beijing Capital International Airport at 10 a.m. Beijing time.

Present at the airport to greet him were Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) and member of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat, Cai Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.

Also present there was Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China.

National flags of the DPRK and China were hoisted and a guard of honor of the three services of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and a military band lined up at the airport.

When Kim Jong Un together with his wife Ri Sol Ju got off the plane for his personal use, children presented bunches of flowers to them.

The respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un exchanged warm greetings with senior party and government officials of China.

The senior officials of China warmly welcomed Kim Jong Un visiting China again, with deep respect and trust for him.
He expressed thanks to the exceptional reception and hospitality of the Chinese party and government and got on a car for his personal use.
The car carrying Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju arrived at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, the lodging quarters, escorted by motorcycles.
He was guided to the lodging quarters by Wang Huning and other senior officials who came to greet him.
Kim Jong Un Meets Xi Jinping
Kim Jong Un , chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, met Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People’s Republic of China, at the Great Hall of the People at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

When Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju arrived at the Great Hall of the People, they were warmly greeted by Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan.
After gladly exchanging greetings, Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping had a souvenir photo taken.


Xi Jinping warmly welcomed Kim Jong Un who was visiting China again.
The respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un expressed thanks to Xi Jinping for sparing time to accord heartwarming hospitality.
Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju had a significant photo session with Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan.
A grand ceremony took place at the Great Hall of the People to welcome Kim Jong Un .
At Beidating Kim Jong Un exchanged greetings with senior officials of the Chinese party and government, shaking hands with them one by one.
Xi Jinping exchanged greetings with senior officials of the party and government of the DPRK.
When Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping stood on the platform, the national anthems of the two countries were played solemnly.

Kim Jong Un received a salute from the chief of the guard of honor of the three services of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army(CPLA).
He reviewed the guard of honor of the CPLA three services, conducted by Xi Jinping.

When they reached the welcoming group of children, the children warmly welcomed them, waving national flags of the two countries and bouquets.
Kim Jong Un raised his hand to wave back to the cheering children.

Talks between Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping
Talks were held between Kim Jong Un , chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) and president of the People’s Republic of China, at the Great Hall of the People on June 19.

Present there from the DPRK side were Ri Su Yong and Kim Yong Chol, members of the Political Bureau and vice-chairmen of the WPK Central Committee, and Ri Yong Ho, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and minister of Foreign Affairs.
Present from the Chinese side were Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and member of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat, Ding Xuexiang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat and director of the CPC Central Committee General Office, Yang Jiechi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, Wang Yi, state councilor and minister of Foreign Affairs, and Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
At the talks the result of the historic DPRK-U.S. summit, which was successfully held amidst the unusual interest and expectation of the international community, and the appreciation, views and stand on it were informed each other. And beneficial views on a series of issues of mutual concern including the prospect for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula were exchanged and a shared understanding on the discussed issues achieved.
The respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un expressed thanks to the Chinese party and government for positive and sincere support and good help for the successful DPRK-U.S. summit meeting and talks.
Saying that he is much pleased with and values the recently strengthened strategic cooperation between the two parties and the mutual confidence getting further deepened, he expressed the determination and will to further develop the closer relations of friendship, unity and cooperation between the two parties and the two peoples of the DPRK and China.
Xi Jinping gave high appreciation and extended heartfelt congratulations to Chairman Kim Jong Un for having steered the DPRK-U.S. summit meeting and talks successfully and put the situation of the Korean Peninsula on the track of dialogue, negotiation, peace and stability.
Voicing full support for the stand and determination of the DPRK side for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, he said that China will continue to play its constructive role in the future, too.


The talks proceeded in a comradely, candid and friendly atmosphere.
Banquet Given in Welcome of Kim Jong Un’s Visit to China
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People’s Republic of China, hosted a grand banquet in welcome of the visit to China by Kim Jong Un , chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, at the Great Hall of the People on Tuesday evening.

Present at the banquet on invitation were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK; Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and premier of the Cabinet; Ri Su Yong, Kim Yong Chol and Pak Thae Song, members of the Political Bureau and vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK; Ri Yong Ho, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and minister of Foreign Affairs; No Kwang Chol, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and minister of the People’s Armed Forces; and other officials accompanying Kim Jong Un , Supreme Leader of the party, state and army of the DPRK, and suite members and Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, and his embassy officials.

Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju entered Jinsedating, the banquet hall, guided by Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan.
Prior to the banquet, its participants watched a video on the three historic meetings of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries.
At the banquet Xi Jinping made a congratulatory speech and Kim Jong Un made a reply speech.


Xi Jinping warmly welcomed Kim Jong Un ‘s visit to China, saying that this fully showed his fixed will to attach great importance to the strengthened strategic communication between the two parties of China and the DPRK and develop the traditional friendship of the two countries and demonstrated to the whole world the invincibility of the relations between the two parties and two countries.
After Chairman Kim Jong Un ‘s visit to China in March, the China-DPRK relations have entered a new phase of development and the important joint agreements of both sides are being implemented one by one and the China-DPRK relations of friendship and cooperation are in new vigor, Xi Jinping stated.
Noting that Kim Jong Un has made great efforts to protect peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula by leading the Korean people and further consolidated the trend of dialogue and détente on the peninsula, Xi Jinping said he is pleased to see it and highly appreciates it.
He affirmed that China and the DPRK would learn, consult, unite and cooperate with each other as close friends and comrades to jointly open up rosier and beautiful future of the socialist cause in the two countries.
Kim Jong Un said he is very glad to meet again Xi Jinping and other close Chinese comrades at the time when a new historic current is being created in the Korean Peninsula and the region with the successful DPRK-U.S. summit. He expressed heartfelt thanks to Xi Jinping for his cordial hospitality despite the pressure of work.
Saying the picture of the DPRK and China sharing joy and sorrow and sincerely helping and cooperating with each other like family members clearly demonstrates at home and abroad that the relations between the two parties and two countries are developing into the unprecedentedly special relationship beyond the traditional ties, Kim Jong Un stated that he would make every possible effort to steadily develop the DPRK-China friendly relations onto a new high level, valuing affinity and affection forged with Xi Jinping.
He said that he would closely cooperate with the Chinese comrades at the same staff in the historic journey of defending socialism and opening up a new future of the Korean Peninsula and the region, and fully discharge his responsibility and role to protect genuine peace.
He expressed the belief and expectation that the Chinese people would surely realize the dream of China called the great prosperity of China in the near future under the leadership of Xi Jinping and the Communist Party of China.

An art performance specially prepared by Chinese artistes was given to welcome Kim Jong Un ‘s historic visit to China.

Kim Jong Un conveyed a floral basket to the performers on their excellent performance.
Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju together with Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan mounted the stage to express thanks for the enthusiasm and efforts of the artistes who prepared the art performance with sincerity, and had a photo session with them.

Kim Jong Un expressed thanks to the Chinese party and government for their special care and warm hospitality.
