ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF SONGUN POLITICS UK
http://www.uk-songun.com/index.php email juche007@yahoo.co.ukThe Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a statement concerning the cancellation of the DPRK-US Summit;
Yesterday , the 24th of May , Trump the president of the US, suddenly unilaterally cancelled the proposed DPRK-US summit scheduled to be held on the 12th of June .
The DPRK had made earnest preparations for the summit .It had also shown tremendous goodwill to the US by releasing 3 US citizens who had either been convicted by DPRK courts of serious crimes against the DPRK or had been arrested following investigations by DPRK law enforcement agencies (they were never hostages and the use of such a term by Trump is an insult ) . It is the US that went ahead with military exercises , sent warships to threaten the DPRK and continued imposing sanctions on the DPRK .
In our view Trump pulled out of the summit because he knew he was incapable of negotiating a reasonable and just settlement with the DPRK , he knew that the DPRK would get the better of him on the negotiating table. Also the DPRK would not bow down to the US like the Soviets and others did in the past , it made it clear it would not accept "Libyan style denuclearise"
At the end of the day Trump is the loser and the DPRK is the winner .The DPRK has won a massive moral victory over the US.
We believe that whatever happens regarding the question of DPRK-US relations , the DPRK will have a bright future under the banner of self-reliance and Juche !
However we should not overlook the fact that Trump's letter to respected Marshal KIM JONG UN cancelling the summit contained a threat of nuclear war ,so we must all rally around defend People's Korea ! Solidarity with the DPRK must be increased
DEFEND PEOPLE'S KOREA !
HANDS OFF PEOPLE'S KOREA!
