Brilliant Life for Reunification The Korean people are greeting the centenary of the birth of Kim Jong Suk, the anti-Japanese war heroine, amid the irresistible yearnings for her. Her life was the brilliant one of the revolutionary who dedicated her all to the country’s liberation, people’s happiness, unity of the nation and national reunification, true to high intention of President Kim Il Sung.    National reunification was her supreme desire and goal of her life and struggle. After the country’s liberation, she felt painful national division caused by the U.S. as the Korean nation has lived harmoniously in one territory with the same cultural tradition for 5 000 years. He was full of determination to reunify the country as soon as possible and deliver the south Korean people from the U.S. invaders.   One day after the end of the historic Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Public Organization in North and South Korea held in April of 1948, she met with south Korean women delegates to acquaint herself with their accommodation and inconvenience during their sojourn. She told them the significance and importance of the joint conference and said that our energetic effort would help hasten national reunification and the women should turn out as one to oppose the U.S. and reunify the country.  Human history knows no such outstanding woman revolutionary who performed great achievements for the country and reunification.  Brilliant career of Kim Jong Suk, who devoted her all to realize idea of great national unity and line of reunification of President Kim Il Sung, is enshrined in the hearts of the south Korean people.
