The Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group congratulates the officers and men of the Korean Peoples Army, the scientists and technicians of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea on the successful launch of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, Hwasong 14, on July 28th, 2017. With the launch of the Hwasong 14 missiles on July 4th and on July 28th, the world is simply amazed by this wonder of technology and science, this missile is a product of the self-reliant defence industry of Juche Korea. The development and production of the Hwasong 14 ICBM is due to the Songun Revolutionary Leadership of the Dear Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN. On July 28th, the Hwasong 14 missile was able to reach altitude of 3,734.9 km and flew 998 km for 12 seconds, meaning in effect that the DPRK now has the capability to strike at the heart of the enemy's territory.
For many years, the DPRK has proposed a Peace Treaty with the USA and nuclear disbarment talks. Instead the US Imperialists have been carrying out a bellicose course aimed at isolating and destroying the DPRK. Since 1957 the US military has stationed a thousand nuclear warheads in south Korea, aimed at the north and there are 40,000 US troops based in south Korea. Continuously, the US and the south Korean puppet forces have been undertaking large scale military exercises such as "Team Spirit "and " Key Resolve/ Foal Eagle", practicing for a "regime change" scenario. The Trump Administration in recent months have talked about a "limited nuclear war in Korea" and "surprise military attack", while bringing in aircraft carrier groups such as " Carl Vinton", and "Nimitz" into the costal waters of Korea and deploying the strategic bombers B-52 and B-2 to Korea.
The wisdom of building up a nuclear and missile deterrent forces by the Korean Peoples Army can be seen by the history of aggression by US Imperialism in Korea and internationally. With the Songun Politics, the Korean Revolutionary Armed Forces have been able to smash the monopoly of weapons' technology and, the right to have nuclear and missile weaponry is no longer the preserve of the Imperialists. As Marshal KIM JONG UN after the successful test firing of the Hwansong 14 ICBM stated on July 28th, the US, an aggression minded state can not go scot free if the US imperialists dared to provoke the DPRK. The Korean people will not barter away their nuclear and missile deterrence, while the US imperialism is the centre of world aggression.
The July 28th testing firing of the Hwasong 14 ICBM is the pride and joy of the Juche Korea and which ensures the survival and growth of the socialist prosperity of the DPRK. The Hwasong 14 is indeed the product of the initiative of Marshal KIM JONG UN in the application of building a nuclear power and a economic giant in the land of Socialist Korea. We the followers of the Juche Idea and friends of Korea rejoice over the historic success of the launching of the Hwasong 14 missile on July 28th, as a Songun type weapon of jusitice!!
