Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the commander-in-chief of the
U.S. Forces in the Pacific blustered that the best way of deterring
north Korea from developing nukes and missiles for striking the U.S. is
to maintain strong combat capability and boost the ties with its allies.
The "threats" much touted by the U.S. is nothing but an excuse to
justify its hostile policy towards the DPRK and strategy for Asian
domination and they are, in actuality, a product of a foolish intention
to contain the potential rivals in the Asia-Pacific region and save the
U.S. from its decline by beefing up its military forces and forming a
military nexus for aggression, pursuant to the pivot to Asia-Pacific
strategy.
It is the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and its pivot to
Asia-Pacific strategy that pose grave threat to the DPRK and Asia and,
furthermore, to global peace and security.
The U.S. is pursuing a dangerous scenario to dominate the
Asia-Pacific and the rest of the world by laying a siege to Russia and
China and containing them with every possible means and method after
occupying the whole of Korea.
These hegemonic moves of the U.S. cannot but trigger off strong
opposition and vigilance of the international community as they usher in
the era of new worldwide confrontation and arms race.
"North Korea's threats" noisily trumpeted about by the U.S. are
aimed at misleading strong world criticism and justifying its moves for
dominating the world.
The U.S. seeks an ulterior aim to contain China which rapidly
emerged an economic power in Asia and finally deter Russia from
restoring the position as a power by hastening the reinforcement of
military forces in the Asia-Pacific region and tightening the formation
of military alliance with Japan and south Korea under the pretext of
coping with the "threats".
The U.S. is now finding itself in pretty fix due to its excessive
spending of funds for war, vulnerable economic structure and the world
trend of multi-polarization. It seeks a way out of it in establishing
domination over the Asia-Pacific region which has rich resources and
vast markets and gets strategically more important.
This goes to prove that "north Korea's threats" are nothing but
sophism reeled off by the U.S. to justify the military moves to contain
the powers in the Asia-Pacific and get rid of its quagmire.
The Washington Post on Jan. 14, 2002 disclosed the facts that the
CIA designated Russia and China as potential rivals capable of
challenging the U.S. interests as early as in the 1990s and later listed
the DPRK as a "state posing threat" in a bid to find a justification
for beefing up armed forces in Asia.
No matter how frequently the U.S. cites "north Korea's threats" it can never conceal its hypocritical and criminal nature.
The DPRK's nuclear force is means for just self-defence to protect the security of the country and the nation.
It can never be a threat to any country unless it provokes the DPRK.
The U.S. should stop trumpeting about "north Korea's threats" and
halt unreasonable military actions threatening the DPRK and regional
countries. -0-
