With the approach of the Day of the Sun, south Korean people are brimming with an immense yearning for President Kim Il Sung, the eternal sun of the Korean nation and lodestar of national reunification.

It was a steadfast faith and will of the President to achieve Korea’s independent and peaceful reunification by the united efforts of the nation without domination and intervention of the foreign forces.

He advanced many reunification proposals including the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point program for the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding a Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and led the nation to implement them.

Many great men and patriots have been recorded in human history. However, human history knows no such peerless great person as the President who dedicated his life to the cause of reunification and prosperity of the nation with his ardent love for the country and nation.

Members of a reunification body in Daegu, south Korea highly praise the President in its printed matter that “We will uphold President Kim Il Sung as the eternal sun of a reunified nation” and “As the sun is eternal, President Kim Il Sung is immortal”.

Indeed, the whole life of the President was a patriotic epic who devoted his all to enhance national dignity and achieve national prosperity, shouldering upon himself the destiny of the country and the nation.

The south Koreans’ reverence for the President as the sun of the nation and lodestar of reunification are developing into their inflexible faith to achieve the cause of national reunification true to patriotic intention of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
