ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA support memorandum of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement in support of the memorandum issued by the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea issued on the 31st of March;

The memorandum issued by the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea very trenchantly exposes the real nature of the so-called US-south Korean "alliance ". Basically it is not an alliance or a partnership of any kind at all but a means for the US to dominate and control south Korea .

Since 1945 south Korea has effectively been a colony of US imperialism. A series of so-called agreements and treaties such as the The U.S.-south Korea "mutual defense treaty" give the US the right to permanently and indefinitely station US forces in south Korea. Later ,on July 9, 1966 the U.S. faked up the SOFA, giving the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces in south Korea privileged position rare to be found in the world.
    On the strength of the humiliating SOFA the U.S. imperialist aggressors have made no scruple of perpetrating murder, rape, plunder, destruction and all other crimes in south Korea. The US still holds the preorogative of wartime operational command over the south Korean armed forces , something unknown in other countries!

The US seized control of the south Korean economy in the 1960s by controlling the budget of south Korea.
Now the  so-called " south Korea-US  Free Trade Agreement " has deepening the economic infiltration of the US into south Korea and other proposals such as joining the "Trans-Pacific Partnership " will increase the control of US imperialism over south Korea.

Thus the so-called "alliance " with the US leaves south Korea totally bereft of sovereignty and independence  doomed to be the last colony of the 21st century. South Korea is an instrument of US war policy against the Democratic People's Republ

Our organisations believe that the south Korean people must fight to free themselves from the shackles of US imperialism and achieve reunification.
