Rodong Sinmun Blasts U.S.-S. Korea Provocative Max Thunder War Drill

Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and south Korean puppet warmongers kicked off Max Thunder, a large-scale combined air battle drill, in south Korea on April 11.
Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes this in a commentary.
It brands the above-said drill as a grave military provocation escalating the tension and the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula as it is a clear manifestation of their ever-more disgusted intention to mount a preemptive strike at the DPRK.
It is none other than the U.S. and south Korean authorities who are engrossed in military provocation while stocking the danger of war on the peninsula, the commentary says, and goes on:
Their fiction about the "infiltration of drones by the north" is a mean plot to lead the north-south relations to the eve of a war once again by fabricating the second "Cheonan" warship sinking case.
The U.S. and south Korean puppet forces' talk about the "threats from the north's nuclear test" and "infiltration of drones by the north" is nothing but a pretext to round off the preparations for a war by staging intensive joint military drills and spark off a nuclear war on the peninsula at any cost.
It is quite natural for the DPRK to take measures for self-defense under the prevailing grave situation including the measure of bolstering the nuclear deterrent to foil the hostile forces' military challenge to it.
The U.S. and puppet warmongers should behave with discretion if they do not want to face merciless punishment by the powerful revolutionary Paektusan army. -
