GREAT GENERALISSIMO KIM JONG IL , LEADER WHO UPHELD THE RED FLAG
The 1990s are
remembered as being a very difficult period for the world socialist
movement and anti-imperialist movement as socialism was frustrated
in the Soviet Union and a number of countries. The imperialists and
reactionaries noisily declared that it was “the collapse of
communism “ and even “the end of history “ . Many communist
parties suffered severe setbacks and a lot of
anti-imperialist movements gave up. Some communist parties dissolved
themselves or became social
democratic parties , even anti-communist parties . In some parts of
the world liberation movements laid down arms and hugged their
enemies . The imperialists laughed and jeered that the Red
flag was no more. One leader in the world held high the red flag ,
this leader was the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il !
The determination of
the Korean people to uphold the red flag of socialism , the red flag
of socialism was expressed in the song “ Uphold the Red Flag “
composed during the 1990s. Many years earlier the great
leader President Kim Il Sung had quoted from the lines another song about the Red Flag
,famous in both Britain and the DPRK , “The Red Flag “;
“Let
cowards flinch and traitors sheer,
We'll keep the Red Flag flying here"
This expressed the will
of the Korean people to uphold socialism . Comrade Kim Jong Il
ensured that the red flag was
flying in Korea proudly defying the challenges of the imperialist and renegades.
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il was totally unfazed by
the frustration of socialism in the
USSR and other countries . He declared “Socialism Is a
Science “ and “Expect No
Change from me “ . This dumbfounded the imperialist
reactionaries who had hoped for “regime
change “ , “reform “ and “opening up “ after the untimely
passing away of the great leader
comrade Kim Il Sung in 1994 . The ideological struggle against capitalism is war without gunshots. In warfare attack is always the best
form of defence and in the
ideological warfare against socialism , comrade Kim Jong Il did not sit with folded arms
but wrote many works such as “Our Socialism Centred On the
Popular Masses Shall Not
Perish “, “Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable “
, “Socialism Is a Science “ , “Giving
Priority to Ideological Work is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism “ and
“On Preserving the Juche character and national character of
the revolution and construction “ which dealt sledge hammer
blows against the imperialists and the modern revisionists .
Great comrade Kim Jong
Il pledged himself to carry forward the Juche revolutionary cause of
the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung and the red flag of socialism,
in the work “ Let Us Hold the
great leader in High Esteem forever and accomplish his cause”
“If we
undertake the work of holding him in high esteem for
eternity, we can exert a significant influence on
establishing a true communist moral outlook in the
international communist movement. Communist morality is
pure, noble and genuine. The core of
communist morality is
loyalty to the
leader. In the past revisionists such as Khrushchev who appeared in
the international communist movement, seriously undermined communist
morality. Khrushchev, by slandering Stalin, gave the negative
impression to the world that communists were ignorant of their
forerunners in the revolution and fought one another. Lenin, the
founder of the first socialist state, is today slandered by the
renegade socialists, seventy years after his
death. Similar
phenomena have been witnessed in other parties in the international
communist movement. As a result, the communists lost the people’s
trust and support,
and this ended
with the collapse of socialism in several countries. By holding
Comrade Kim Il Sung in high esteem forever, even more so than we did
in his lifetime, we should
demonstrate to
the world the outlook on morality with which communists support
their leaders. Thus we can actively contribute to safeguarding and
adding glory to the noblest
communist
morality and to its worldwide rehabilitation, after it was marred by
the revisionists and renegades of socialism.”
