Pyongyang Maternity Hospital in
Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK is a comprehensive medical service
center for women.
Today Korean women call the
Pyongyang Maternity Hospital their parents’ home.
At the hospital there was newly
built the Breast Tumour Institute, a comprehensive medical service
and scientific research center for women.
Long time ago leader Kim
Jong Il gave an
instruction to organize a special section for the treatment of breast
tumour at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and paid a deep attention
to the treatment and study of breast diseases of women.
In November 2011, the last
period of his life he made a request to build a modern breast tumour
institute at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and personally examined
its blue print.
In support of his noble
intention the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un
sent soldier builders for the construction of the institute and
taught the orientation and ways of the project on the spot and wisely
led the whole process of the construction.
As a result, the institute was
built in a short time and opened on October 8, Juche 101 (2012).
The institute is provided with
more than 30 kinds of the latest medical equipment.
The institute conducts medical
service not only for women in Pyongyang, but across the country
through a long distance service system.
It examines the health of women
regularly to prevent mastitis and breast tumour earlier.
Early in November Juche 101
(2012) Marshal Kim Jong Un
visited the institute and gave an instruction to always remember the
request of leader Kim Jong Il and
carry out the mission and task as faithful servants of the people.
In order to carry through his
instruction the institute works hard to enhance the treatment and
prevention of the breast diseases and scientific research on them
onto a higher level.
Enjoying free medical care at
the institute, Korean women are regaining good health and vitality
and filled with determinations to contribute to the building of a
thriving nation.
