My Sons and Daughters
Whenever visiting People’s
Army units, leader Kim Jong Il
would call the soldiers his sons and daughters, taking paternal care
of them.
The window of the barracks of
soldiers is associated his warm affection for them.
In February 1995 he visited a
company by the sea.
He gave an instruction to ensure
that the soldiers sleep and rest in a warm barrack room and, for it,
to make the window small.
He stressed the need to study a
window design in the future.
He also remembered that during
the anti-Japanese armed struggle the windows of secret camps were all
of ventilating form and taught that the barracks should have fewer
and smaller windows.
Thereafter, the size of the
windows of barracks of the People’s Army was reduced suitably.
One day in November 1997 Kim
Jong Il called at a
People’s Army unit.
Upon arriving at the unit, he
acquainted himself with the state of window.
He passed his hand over the new
window frame and put the palm of his hand on a corner of the window.
He called the commander of the
unit and told him that there was a chink, saying if the chink were
not closed up properly, the cold wind would penetrate through it and
drop the temperature of the room.
Laying his hand on the chink,
the official felt a faint cold wind.
Kim Jong Il
told the official to close up the chink so as to prevent the soldiers
from catching cold.
He went on to say: You should
look after the soldiers with paternal affection so that the soldiers
do not feel any inconvenience in their service. Just for the purpose
there are Supreme Commander and you officials.
Like this, Kim
Jong Il took a scrupulous
care of the soldiers like their real father and mother before the
supreme commander of the revolutionary armed forces.
Today the respected Kim
Jong Un, supreme
commander of the Korean People’s Army visits soldiers without
let-up, saying it is a duty of commanding officers to take care of
the living of the soldiers leader Kim Jong Il had
loved them with
his whole life.
The respected Kim
Jong Un visits People’s
Army units continuously and his image is as like as Kim
Jong Il who had called
soldiers his sons and daughters.
Under the solicitude of the
respected Kim Jong Un,
supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, the history of love
for soldiers will flow on and on without change.
