We denounce the arrest of vice-chairman Ro-ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA

The UK Korean Friendship Association together with the ASSPUK and JISGE condemns the arrest and detention of the Ro Su Hui, the vice chairman of the south side Headquarters of the he Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon).
                                  We were very shocked to learn of the arrest of vice-chairman Ro today after he returned from the DPRK.  We found the video of vice-chairman Ro being manhandled by south Korean puppet fascist hooligans harrowing to watch and deeply disturbing. We could see for ourselves the sinister and despicable nature of the south Korean puppet fascist state machine. No one should hold any illusions about them or co-operate with them in any way

This is an outrageous and diabolic act of the south Korean puppet fascists . Even at the height of the northern Ireland troubles the British authorities never  arrested anyone simply for visiting the Irish Republic and returning home.  In April many people from around the world including a delegation of the JISGE and ASSPUK visited the DPRK. Why aren't south Koreans allowed to do the same.
The action of the south Korean puppets puts them in a league of their own  outdoing the worst fascist dictatorships in the world and showing as vile partitionists and anti DPRK extremists who are opposed to reunification.
                           The south Korean fascist puppets arrested vice-chair Ro to stop the south Korean people knowing the truth about life in the DPRK and the advantages of people-centred socialism . They are afraid about the south Korean people knowing about the peoples paradise in the DPRK and rising up in revolt against the anti-popular reactionary dictatorship known throughout the world as the "republic of the chaebols", "republic of corruption" and "republic of suicide.
                     This action of the south Korean puppets is also aimed at suppressing the pro reunification forces in south Korea and blocking the way to peacefulreunification . In the last few years the Lee Myung Bak fascist regime has clamped on the progressive and patriotic forces in south Korea , arresting scores of pro reunification activists and imprisoning Rev Han Sang Ryol.



We demand the immediate release of vice chairman Ro Su Hui and also Han San Ryol. The reactionary "national security law " must be repealed.  There must be a big international campaign to secure the release of vice-chairman Ro Su Hui.
