Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the
Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea issued an appeal to all
Koreans on Wednesday, the 40th anniversary of the July 4 Joint
Statement.
The July 4 Joint Statement the keynote of which is the Three Principles of National Reunification -- independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity -- was published on July 4, 1972.
PresidentKim Il Sung ,
on the basis of his scientific insight into the ardent desire of the
fellow countrymen for reunification and the rapidly changing internal
and external situation, provided north-south high-level political talks,
wisely leading the work to ensure that the Three Principles of National
Reunification were declared through the July 4 Joint Statement.
LeaderKim Jong Il
provided the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4
declaration, great programmes for reunification in the 21st century and
the landmarks for independent reunification, peace and prosperity. This
was a special event which opened up a new phase in the struggle to
achieve the reunification of the country.
The Three Principles of National Reunification and the joint declarations based on them are the greatest crystal of the precious patriotic legacies for reunification left by the peerlessly great men, the appeal said.
It called for holding higher the banner of national independence in the struggle for national reunification and urged all Koreans in the north and the south and abroad to positively turn out in the struggle to implement the north-south joint declarations in the idea of "By our nation itself".
Le us not tolerate even the slightest move of foreign forces to interfere in the issue of Korea's reunification!
Let us wage a dynamic struggle to put an end to the U.S. military presence and domination over south Korea!
Le us all the fellow countrymen turn out to decisively foil the reckless moves of the U.S. and the south Korean belligerent forces to ignite a war against the DPRK!
Let us resolutely struggle against the conclusion of the General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) between south Korea and Japan!
Let us thoroughly shatter the moves to establish the U.S.-Japan- south Korea triangular military alliance for aggression!
Let all Koreans unite close under the banner of reunification and patriotism irrespective of ideology, social system and ism!
Let us thoroughly shatter the racket of the pro-American conservative regime and the "Saenuri Party" for "eliminating forces following the north"!
Let us positively support and encourage the south Korean people in their righteous struggle for protecting democracy and vital rights!
The Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea ardently called for glorifying this year as a historic year to shatter the desperate moves of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad and bringing about a new turn in national reunification.
It expressed belief that all the fellow countrymen would positively support and respond to this appeal. -0-
