Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- The working masses' desire to lead an independent life free from the capital domination can never come true in capitalist society, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a bylined article.
It is an inevitable phenomenon that working people in capitalist countries continue to stage protests almost every day in demand of their vital rights and freedom, the article notes, and goes on:
In capitalist society "democracy" is enforced for a tiny handful of the exploiters but dictatorship for the working masses. Capitalist countries advocate the bourgeois parliamentary system and multi-party system as a symbol of "democracy", but in actuality big monopolists control government behind the scene.
Genuine freedom can never be expected in capitalist society where the capitalist class rule over everything while the working masses are excluded from the political life.
In this society inequality in material life is getting more serious though a great abundance of material wealth is produced. The poor are getting ever poorer and the rich ever richer. This is the reality of capitalist society.
Capitalism is a rotten and ailing society as it is "heaven" for the rich but it is "hell" for the poor. It is quite natural that such society has been rejected by the people.
The growth of capitalist material wealth is widening the gap between the rich and the poor, bringing capitalism into bottomless crisis.
Now is the era of independence in which the popular masses have become masters of their own destinies and put the world under their control. This shows it is the law governing development of history that a society based on individualism goes over to a society based on collectivism. -0-
