UK KFA on the 50th anniversary of the Songun revolutionary leadership

50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SONGUN REVOLUTIONARY LEADERSHIP
The 25th of August 1960 is celebrated by the DPRK as the date when the Songun
revolutionary leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il started in earnest.It began with the inspection of leader Kim Jong Il to the Seoul
Guards Ryu Kyong Su no 105 Tank Division.This was the tank division that liberated Seoul in June 1950 in the war against the American
imperialists.Thus it was no ordinary army division but one with deep historical significance
        The idea of Songun means giving priority to the Army and making the army the pillar of the revolution.This is not a military government as some
try to suggest but it is based on the whole experience of the Korean revolution which started with the 2 pistols handed down by Kim Hyong Jik
to
his son Kim Il Sung.The Korean revolution was won through armed struggles against the Japanese imperialists in the 1930s and 1940s and against the
Yankee imperialists in the 1950s.Leader Kim Jong Il made this into the tangible and specific theory of Songun and strove to apply it in practice.
His guidance to the Seoul Guards Ryu Kyong Su no 105 tank division was the first practical step on this road which put military affairs ahead of
political affairs.
           Without Songun the DPRK would have long ago fallen victim to Yankee imperialist fascism and would have lost its independence.The Korean
People's Army and Korean people smited the US imperialists when they captured the USS "Pueblo" in 1968 and shot down the EC121 spy plane.Later
the DPRK stood its ground during the 1st and 2nd nuclear crisis.
        It is an undeniable fact that no one can refute that the DPRK has emerged as a strong state,a state of independence and Juche with its
own nuclear deterrent.Despite nonsensical frame ups like the Cheonan incident and continous military exercises by the US and south Korean
puppets,the DPRK stands unfazed.This is the fruit of the 5 decades long Songun revolutionary leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Jong IL.
