Past Liquidation is Inescapable for Japan: KCNA

Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- Many countries are making efforts to liquidate the wrongdoings they committed in the past.

Last year, the UK and France returned cultural heritages plundered from African countries and the German government made a deep apology for the crimes the Nazis regime committed and has made reparation to those countries and victims who suffered human, material and spiritual damage so far after the Second World War.

Shortly ago, Germany donated 4 million euros to the building of State Museum of Jewish Genocide in the Netherlands.

This reflects the present international trend to promote the reconciliation and the development of new relations among countries with the solution of the past problems.

To sincerely reflect and make reparation for the wrongdoings in the past is the natural duty to be fulfilled by the assailant and the correct attitude to be adopted to break with the inglorious past.

But there is a childish and brutal country which refuses to make an apology and reparation for the crime-woven past, not feeling an elementary guilty conscience, quite contrary to this trend.

This is Japan, an island nation.

Japan is a war criminal state and a defeated nation which committed the hideous unethical crimes surpassing the fascist Germany.

Japan is the first country which has to keel down before humankind, especially the Korean people, and make an apology and reparation in every possible way for its wrongdoings.

This being a hard reality, the island nation has refused to acknowledge the crimes in the past and has been hell-bent on impudent acts of confusing the right and wrong until today since the defeat, not even considering it.

It disguised the crimes committed in Korea and Asian continent as "contribution to peace and security in Asia" and has distorted and fabricated history.

In view of the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army condemned by the international community, it, not content with persistent denial, goes so impudent as to insist on not using even the expression related to the said issue, like a thief crying "stop thief!"

Denying the past is an expression of the intention to repeat it.

That the Japanese reactionaries make persistent efforts to deny the past crimes is to revive the crime-woven history.

Japan is getting hell-bent on turning Japan into a major military power and on overseas expansion for its ambition of reinvasion, grudging that its defeat in the war of aggression was because of "weak strength".

Vaulting ambition has gone beyond the region to expand over the whole world and to reach space.

Japan is systematically and persistently implanting wild ultra-nationalism and viewpoint on history of aggression among new generation and Japanese people and it is pushing ahead with the retrogressive constitutional revision for taking up a complete appearance of a war state.

The Japanese reactionaries' shameless and brigandish act only increases the Korean people's hatred against Japan.

The memory of the sufferings and pain inflicted by the Japanese imperialists are still fresh in the mind of the Korean people. This increasingly cements their will to force Japan to pay a high price.

Japan's liquidation in the past is a serious political problem for justice and future of mankind and for global peace, not a mere problem related to history and money.

Japan can not escape from the past liquidation, demand of the era and history. -0-

Meeting and parting for self-interest

Meeting and parting for self-interest The conservative organizations including the Liberty Korea Party and the New Conservative Party are making frantic effort to integrate conservative groups to gain more seats at 21st general election to be held in April this year. Of late, the conservative groups formed a promotion committee at the second joint conference of the representatives in Seoul and decided to found a new party before Feb.10. The unification of conservatives brings about a note of discord by the conflict of interests for their wicked ambition in the early stage. The pro-Park Geun-hye group in the LKP insists that they will leave the party if the LKP is going to integrate the New Conservative Party without their apology and the group of the non-party in the NCP opposes against it. The “Republican Party” and the Taeguki group asserted that they would never join together with them who agreed with impeachment of Park. Broad segments of south Korean people are describing the unification of conservatives as a dogfight of dirty men and political migratory bird for their power. According to a recent survey, the supporting rate of combined party is on the decrease by ten percentages and it shows that the conservative forces are displeased with it.  The LKP, the NCP and other conservative groups have resorted to all sorts of sleight of hand to win popularity and change the unfavorable situation by uniting and parting under the cloak of “reform” and “unification”, however, they are doomed to ruin.

Participating in multinational combined anti-submarine drill On Jan. 20, an official of the south Korean navy expressed that its navy is participating in the US-led multinational combined anti-submarine drill “Sea Dragon 2020” in Guam from Jan. 20 to 31 for the first time. The US-led “Sea Dragon” is aimed to detect and attack the enemy submarines and it has been conducted on the sea off Guam annually.  The south Korean navy’s participation in the drill is very dangerous military provocation that would exacerbate the situation in the region. The south Korean authorities have disturbed peace of the Korean Peninsula, while paying lip-service to peace. This is the double-dealing behavior of the south Korean authorities. It is intolerable that the south Korean authorities conducted war exercises with different missions with the US in last year. The south Korean military authorities’ participation in the war game and its decision of dispatch troops to the Strait of Hormuz would only reveal the miserable plight of minion and spark off negative backlash of the south Korean people. It is quite natural that the south Korean people from all walks of life have waged a vigorous struggle for peace against war, censuring the south Korean authorities’ military provocation.

War maneuvers against north Korea The south Korean war maniacs are wild about war maneuvers against north Korea from early new year. The brass hats of the south Korean military including the Minister of the Defense Ministry Chung Gyeong-doo and the chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Park Han-gee commanded war exercises against north Korea on the sky, sea and the land. Especially Chung, at a meeting, asserted south Korea should strengthen its own strength, taking issue with the north Korea’s military measure for self-defense.  The south Korean belligerent force become more brazen in military confrontation against north Korea, introducing advanced war hardware including stealth fighters and building up its war potentials. The peace and the safety of the Korean Peninsula are being seriously threatened due to the double-dealing behavior of the brass hats of the south Korean military. Their reckless acts of the military confrontation are bound to come under accusation and rebuff of the Korean nation.

On the 29th of January 2003 , shortly after the DPRK had announced its withdrawal from the unjust and one-sided “Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty “, the great leader comrade KIM JONG ILpublished the work “ The  Songun-based Revolutionary Line Is a Great Revolutionary Line of Our Era and an Ever-Victorious Banner of Our Revolution."This work gives a comprehensive overview of the Songun idea and its application as Songun politics. In the work the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL he glorious history of the Korean revolution that was started and has triumphed under the banner of Songun and comprehensively deals with the essence, features, validity and vitality of the Songun politics of the Workers' Party of Korea and theoretical and practical issues concerning the politics.
 The work serves as an encyclopedic document giving perfect answers to the issues arising in the struggle to achieve the independence of the popular masses and precious ideological and theoretical guidelines to be always held fast to in building a thriving nation and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.

KCNA Commentary Blames Japan for Its Militaristic Ambition

Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- The sinister intention of Japan to reinvade other country chills the regional situation from the outset of the year.

According to a recent report, the Japan Ground "Self-Defence Force" conducted a joint landing exercise simulating the attack on remote islands occupied by the enemy with the U.S. forces in Chiba Prefecture.

The Japanese defense minister who appeared in the drill ground under the pretext of inspection dropped from a falling tower earlier than others and made remarks that the U.S. forces take part in the recent drill and he reconfirmed that the bonds of the Japan-U.S. alliance are firm.

This is nothing but the desperate efforts of the militaristic war maniacs to achieve their goal for reinvasion with the backing of the U.S. at any cost.

It is the trite method employed by cunning Japan to realize invasion with the backing of a big power.

In the last century, Japan embarked upon the road of conquering Korea under the positive support and approval of the U.S. and, afterwards, formed an alliance with the fascist forces and ignited extensive wars to dominate the Asia-Pacific region and reduce the regional people into colonial slavers.

The island nation remains unchanged in its zeal and method for invasion even after it suffered an unprecedented and great defeat owing to the merciless counterblows dealt by humankind.

With the backing of the U.S., Japan is making desperate efforts to realize arms buildup and acquire the right of belligerency and the right to participate in a war which are thoroughly prohibited by international and domestic laws and strictly cautioned by the world people.

Under the impudent pretext of protecting its master which pretends to be the "only superpower in the world", Japan resorted to moves to revise laws such as the institution of the "security legislation" and finally increased the operation scope of SDF which is restricted to the country.

While repeating the "threat" from someone which is much touted by the U.S., Japan made the SDF the military force next to the U.S. in the Western and is now hastening the revision of the constitution in order to lay a legal groundwork for reinvasion.

Shortly ago, the Japanese politicians including Abe openly justified their moves for reinvasion, describing the alliance with their master as the "firm pillar defending peace in Asia and Indian-Pacific region and the rest of the world".

However, there is no country to be taken in by their poor deception and talkativeness.

The Japanese reactionaries work hard to realize reinvasion with the backing of foreign forces, far from making a sincere apology for the unethical crimes committed by them in the last century. This can never be allowed.

Mankind will certainly mete out a merciless punishment to the reactionaries of history to bring bloody upheavals to the planet again. -0-

    The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the  British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRK) issued a statement denouncing south Korea for deploying its armed forces to the straits of Hormuz :
  The south Korean military authorities recently decided to send its naval forces to the Straits of Hormuz in order to comply with the request of their US masters . The south Korean reactionaries have sent a unit comprising   a 4,500-ton destroyer, a Lynx anti-submarine helicopter and 3 speed boats. This is an act of abject and criminal subservience to the US as well dragging south Korea into conflicts outside of the Korean peninsula.
  In the past south Korea has participated in a number of wars as a US puppet such as the Vietnam war , Afghan war and Iraq wars bringing shame and disgrace on itself . People should make no mistake  south Korea is a puppet of the United States  it is not an independent state .
   We strongly denounce the south Korean authorities for their servile flunkeyist actions and also for their warmongering .

Review of "Micheal Palin North Korea Journal" by John Marchant of Staffordshire KFA

Having made several journeys to the Land of Morning Calm (principally with the UK KFA) it was with a great deal of curiosity that I read Micheal Palin's account of his May 2018 visit to the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. Micheal Palin is a well-known travel writer and TV presenter, in an earlier incarnation he was part of the Monty Python comedy troupe. Mr Palin's account of his adventures in Peoples Korea made for easy reading and envoke the reality of the DPRK (North Korea) for both those who have never been there or for the people who were lucky enough to have travelled to that North-East Asian Country. Perusing Mr Palin's book, one gets to see behind all the negativity and mythology concerning the DPRK. The advantage of tourism and cultural exchange is that it provides the chance to break down barriers and go beyond stereotypes. Micheal Palin makes a backhanded compliment to the DPRK when he writes "Today is my 75th birthday and would have been Karl Marx's 200th. So where more appropriate to be than somewhere where socialism is still taken seriously?".

Overall Micheal Palin presents a positive image of the DPRK as a clean and efficient country populated by friendly and enthusiastic people. Where the book does fall down in a number of places is through Palin's bourgeois liberal prejudices. In one instance, Micheal Palin attempts to lecture his female KITC guide on the virtues of "Western Democracy", while on a tour of the Kumgang-san Mountains. Mr.Palin asserts "Our way of life is based on freedom of speech", while his guide responded that Korean style socialism provides people with a sense of collectivism and self-determination. Speaking of freedom of speech and thought, there have been endeavours by sections of the British right-wing press to silence and ultimately to shut down the UK KFA, due to the fact that the Korean Friendship Association is a dissenting voice presenting an undistorted view of the DPRK to the public.

As a supplement to the writings of Micheal Palin on North Korea, may I suggest "Travels In The Land of Juche Korea 1992-2017" by Dermot Hudson. Doctor Dermot Hudson provides a very extensive travelogue of the DPRK as well as putting some sections of autobiographical detail. The two books in tandem will make for an informed and entertaining introduction to the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea.

In January Juche 97 (2018), Kim Jong Un inspected the renovated Pyongyang Trolleybus Factory.

The factory can save labour and electricity by realizing remote control of the trolleybus assembling lines and automating the production lines.

As a fine sci-tech learning area and designing room were laid out, the employees can not only train themselves to be skilled, intelligent workers with high sci-tech knowledge but also design trolleybuses of a high cultural level.

Kim Jong Un said solving the problem of passenger transport in the capital city was a very important undertaking to sustain the original features of people-centred socialism of our style and give rein to its advantages, and means of mass transport such as tramcars and trolleybuses should be modernized so as to make traffic more convenient for citizens of the capital city and spruce it up.

Seeing a new trolleybus standing in the factory yard, he said that it looked nice, and examined its exterior and interior.

Several days later, in the middle of the night, he took the trolleybus to look round the city.

Looking at the officials, he said that some days ago he saw the new trolleybus but could not figure out the performance and that he should try it otherwise he would be worrying because it was for the people.

He suggested examining its performance in detail in the people’s stand whether there were any defect while riding the bus, and then got on it.

It is a great thing that we have built such a trolleybus by our own efforts, he said, and continued: On the bus made by our working class I really feel proud and I feel as comfortable as in my home.

Today I tried on the trolleybus of a new model and feel very satisfied with it, he said. He added that though there were some defects, he valued all the things, and that whenever he saw such creations made through self-reliance, he felt most pleased.

On August 3, Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Trolleybus Factory again.

After acquiring himself with the production and renovation of the factory, he said that we should struggle to pluck the stars from the sky if the people want us to do so and that was the program of our Party.

Then he went to the Songsan Tramcar Station to see a newly-built tramcar.

While looking at the inside of the tramcar, he highly appreciated the Guidance Bureau of Passenger Services in Pyongyang, the Pyongyang Trolleybus Factory and the Bus Repair Factory for having done a very worthwhile thing for the people.

After getting off the tramcar, he walked a little and turned back, saw it again, and repeatedly expressed his satisfaction, saying that it was built well, and that it looked handsome.

That night he oversaw the test run of the new trolleybus and tramcar.

In the tramcar he said that we had built a new type of tramcar holding high the banner of self-development first, adding: It is quite a wonderful thing; how good self-reliance is; we should actively work to fully solve the problem of passenger traffic, the problem of mass transport.

In the trolleybus he carefully looked at its interior, and said that both the tramcar and trolleybus looked attractive, and the day was the happiest for him that year.

Today newly-built tramcars and trolleybuses are running on the streets of the capital city, demonstrating the might of self-reliance.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Enjoys Performance for Celebrating Lunar New Year's Day

Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, on Jan. 25 appreciated together with his wife Ri Sol Ju the performance for celebrating the Lunar New Year's Day at the Samjiyon Theater.

The troupe of musicians of the State Affairs Commission, the Samjiyon Orchestra, State Merited Chorus and singers of other major art troupes gave their performance.

Performers sang in high praises of the greatness of the Party overcoming every description of ordeals and difficulties facing the revolution, ushering in a new era of miracle and change unprecedented in human history and demonstrating to the whole world the strength and might of the country.

They also sang songs reflecting the profound reverence for and thanks to Kim Jong Un developing the WPK into a mighty guiding force of the revolution and ushering in a golden age in building a revolutionary party and to the Party, and they sang revolutionary songs of the indomitable will and spirit of all the Korean people to follow the path of loyalty indicated by him and the Party until they come to the end of the earth.

The performance ended with a narrative poem, orchestra and male chorus "We'll Travel One Road Forever".

Kim Jong Un mounted the stage together with Ri Sol Ju to congratulate the artistes on their successful performance.

He expressed his warm thanks to the performers for singing songs of the Party with enthusiastic and high artistic ability and for strongly supporting the struggle policy of the Party.

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Kyong Hui, Ri Il Hwan, Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong and Hyon Song Wol.

Appreciating the performance were working people and innovators of major industrial establishments and co-op farms here, officials and meritorious persons in the fields of scientific research, education and public health here and artistes of major art troupes here. -0-

Madusan Revolutionary Battle Site

Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- The Madusan Revolutionary Battle Site is located in the area of Anju, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK. At the site there is the Madusan Secret Camp.

In the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle (1932-1945), this camp was built in Mt Madu as one of the secret camps forming the Anju Area Secret Base, which served as a base for regional leadership and an important base for military operation in the western part of Korea.

The Anju Area Secret Base was assigned to the position of the headquarters of the revolution in the period of operation for the final attack to liberate the homeland.

President Kim Il Sung set forth a line for accomplishing the historic cause of national liberation through a general offensive of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) combined with all-people uprising and joint operations behind enemy lines and gave a task to build new secret bases in the homeland as part of the work for implementing the line.

Under his operational plan, a small unit of the KPRA built several secret camps, including the Madusan Secret Camp, in Anju area and formed underground revolutionary organizations to build a revolutionary fortress for preparing an all-people resistance and an operation for the final attack.

In the Madusan Secret Camp there are 51 trees bearing slogans written by members of the KPRA. Among them are "Don't abandon revolutionary faith though one may die" and "Fight death-defyingly for our country and nation" showing the noble mental spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.

When visiting the Madusan Revolutionary Battle Site in January Juche 103 (2014), Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said the area of Anju where the revolutionary battle site is located was an important operational area for greeting the great event of national liberation, adding that President Kim Il Sung chose the area for a secret base and this fact proves that he was a peerlessly great man possessed of far-sighted wisdom. -0-

No War!

No War! The south Korean authorities are purchasing and deploying war hardware against north Korea, introducing stealth fighters and “Global Hawk” from the US. On Jan.16, the Solidarity for People’s Sovereignty Headquarters in Gwangju and the south Jeola Provincial Progressive Federation of Students had rallies in front of the US base in Gwangju to condemn the authorities’ decision of introducing war hardware from the US. The reconnaissance planes have flew in the territorial air of the Korean Peninsula and the authorities have purchased drone “Global Hawk” and stealth fighter “F-35”. It will only push the Korean Peninsula deep into a war, they charged. At the press conferences, the organizations denounced the US and the Defense Ministry which is the chief criminal of escalating inter-Korean confrontation and tension on the Korean Peninsula. They demanded the authorities to suspend the acts of escalating war, to stop purchase of “Global Hawk” and “F-35”, to exile the US ambassador Harris and to stop flying of the US reconnaissance planes in territorial air of the Korean Peninsula. On Jan. 14, twenty civic organizations called press conferences in Gwangju to protest against the authorities’ decision of dispatching the troops to the Strait of Hormuz pursuant to the US gangster-like demand. South Korea would be involved in the vortex of war and the dispatch of the troops would deteriorate relationship with other countries, the opposition parties showed negative viewpoints.

U.S. Military Moves for Realizing Ambition to Dominate World Condemned

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- The recent military moves of the United States have aroused great concern from the international community.

Shortly ago, the Blumberg News said that the U.S. plans to organize special units for containing Russia and China. The units will reportedly be stationed on the islands in the Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines and Chinese Taipei and possess high-precision weapons capable of accurately destroying ground and naval targets including supersonic missiles.

In October, the U.S. secretary of the Army announced a plan envisaging the deployment of two special units in the Pacific region which can conduct intelligence, electronic, cyber and missile operations against China. He said that the units will be deployed within two years and this is because "China will emerge as a strategic threat to the U.S."

The U.S. gives spurs to increasing its military muscle, complaining that it is left behind than the powers in the Asia-Pacific region in terms of the development of a series of strategic weapons.

In December last year, the U.S. secretary of Defense said the U.S. will concentrate its efforts on the competition with China and Russia, as it is far behind Russia in the development of supersonic missile and it is now trying hard to catch up with others.

A high-ranking official of the U.S. military said that the U.S. army should develop at the same speed as its potential rival, and made it known that the U.S. is now engaged in the modernization of its inter-continental ballistic missiles, submarines and strategic bombers. This is just part of the military measures taken by the U.S.

According to foreign reports, the U.S. has drastically increased investment in the U.S. military intelligence agencies in its military budget for 2020, organizations which are in charge of the collection of information through spy satellites and the organization and command of spy activities abroad including China and Russia.

Meanwhile, the U.S. unilaterally withdrew from the treaty on the elimination of the intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles while hyping up "Russia's violation of the treaty" and "missile threat from China". It, availing itself of this opportunity, conducted various kinds of missile tests.

In connection with this, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry commented that the U.S. real intention is to develop at will advanced missiles for containing China and Russia and, furthermore, obtain an unchallenged military edge, free from restrictions.

Stalin succeeded the cause of Lenin to turn the USSR to a powerful socialist country and led the World War II to victory to defend socialism and establish a socialist system against the imperialist camp on the planet, which gave him an accepted authority among the world revolutionary movement and state leaders. However, he treated President Kim Il Sung (1912-1994) with exceptional friendly feeling and sense of trust beyond the ages and background of struggle. It was because President Kim Il Sung was a leader possessed of a strong confidence of independence and a thorough-going spirit of self-reliance and self-support. 
His line of building up the state in Korea following the liberation after the defeat of Japanese imperialism attracted a great attention of Stalin.
What Stalin was very keen to know was what idea, aim and ways President Kim Il Sung would take in leading the construction of a new society in Korea.
The state up-building in Korea at the time assumed a great complexity for an entanglement of many problems.
The northern half of Korea was under the occupation of the Soviet army, but the southern half under the U.S. army, accompanying all shades of isms and doctrines. Out of this complexity of the situation President Kim Il Sung put forth a line of establishing a unique Korean-style democracy and an independent sovereignty different from either the Soviet style or the U.S. style and settled all the problems raised in the construction of new Korea on an independent position. Based on this idea he suggested a proposal of simultaneous withdrawal of the both armies, Soviet and U.S., from the north and the south of Korea and initiated to Stalin the problem of the withdrawal of the Soviet army from North Korea.
It was beyond imagination when compared to the stands of the East European leaders who thought to owe the Soviet army by extending the duration of its stationing in their respective countries.
Towards the end of June 1946 in the talk with Stalin, President Kim Il Sung was firm in the stand and principle of independence in discussing the problems raised in the construction in new Korea. Stalin sincerely sympathized with his scientific analysis on the specific situation Korea was in and his decision and plan for the construction of the independent new society and gave full support to them.

Young People Meet to Pledge to Fully Display Wisdom and Bravery in Offensive for Making Breakthrough Head-on

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held by young people at the Kim Il Sung Stadium on Tuesday to vow to carry through the important tasks set forth at the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Stop Military build-up On Jan. 2, the Progressive Federation of Students in Gyeonggi Provionce called a press conference to condemn the reinforcement of the armed forces in front of the US air base in Cheongju. The organization exposed the Defense Ministry introducing the high altitude drone “Global Hawk” and stealth fighters “F-35A” which lead the situation to the brink of war. They denounced that this is a vivid violation of the Panmunjeom declaration and the agreement of inter-Korean military field. They claimed that the Defense Ministry is making desperate efforts to aggravate military tension and escalate inter-Korean confrontation. The Defense Ministry must make an apology to the people desirous of peace and suspend military maneuvers and reinforcement of the armed forces, the organizations condemned. The participants held performance, breaking high altitude drone “Global Hawk” and stealth fighters “F-35A” with swords. The Solidarity for People’s Sovereignty, Youth Party and Progressive Federation of Students held a meeting in front of the Defense Ministry on Jan. 8. Funeral for Late Hwang Sun Hui Held

 Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- A state funeral for anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter Hwang Sun Hui, deputy to the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and curator of the Korean Revolution Museum, was held here on Jan. 19.

Attending it were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and other members of the State Funeral Committee and the bereaved family members.

The coffin of the late Hwang Sun Hui was carried out.

The hearse left for the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong.

Passers-by stopped and expressed their sorrow at her death.

There took place at the cemetery a ceremony of bidding farewell to the deceased.

Choe Ryong Hae in his eulogy said that her life was the one in which she enjoyed a worthy life as a revolutionary and woman under the loving care of the peerlessly great persons, and the life of a steadfast vanguard fighter who fully defended and faithfully upheld the idea, authority and guidance of the leader.

Although she passed away, the feats performed by her for the Party, the revolution, the country and the people will always be remembered, Choe stressed.

Her remains were buried in the grave of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter Ryu Kyong Su.

The members of the State Funeral Committee and her bereaved family members spread earth on the remains.

Placed at the grave were a wreath bearing the august name of Supreme Leader of the Workers' Party of Korea, the state and the armed forces Kim Jong Un, and wreaths in the names of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

In the history of the socialist movement there are those who have betrayed the leader's confidence and put themselves on the anti-revolutionary path.

One of them is Trotsky.

It was in 1902 when Trotsky met Lenin.

After participating for a time in the labor movement, Trotsky was arrested by the tsarist government and exiled to Siberia, from where he later escaped to London, England.

At that time Lenin was making preparations for the founding of a party.

Lenin's first meeting provoked great inspiration in Trotsky.

Even in difficult living conditions, Lenin relied on Trotsky's normality and entrusted him with the money he earned from selling his own goods (or assets, review this).

Trotsky, very impressed, said that he would be "forever loyal" to Lenin.

When Lenin called Trotsky to work with him, he said with emotion: "Brother (older), benefactor and wiser teacher". And hugged him, crying in his arms.

Trotsky helped Lenin to publish a revolutionary publication.

Whenever he had the chance, he used his eloquence to promote Lenin's greatness to Russian activists and his followers.

However, Trotsky's behavior changed.

In the temptation of the opportunists to recommend him as the new party leader to be formed, he became less so dedicated in conscience, loyalty and oath.

Since then, with a thirst for fame and success, he chose to follow the path of betrayal to the end.

Since being transferred to the Menshevik side at the second meeting of the Russian Social Democratic Workers' Party in 1903, Trotsky has become a dangerous enemy of the communist and labor movements.

Trotsky criticized Lenin's theory of the victory of the revolution in a country as a "revision" of Marxism and considered that countries allied with the "United States of Europe" should carry out the socialist revolution simultaneously.

However, as Lenin's exploits were confirmed as triumphant over time, Trotsky visited him and asked for forgiveness with tears in his eyes.

In July 1917, the October Socialist Revolution was maturing.

Before the decisive moment of the revolution, Lenin again accepted Trotsky in the Bolshevik Party for his generosity and faith as a communist, and later granted him important positions in the party and in the state.

But his loyalty would not last long.

Trotsky revealed his dirty nature when Lenin chose Stalin as his successor in his bed.

Losing his sanity, he became a fanatic in anti-Lenin, anti-Stalin and counter-revolutionary maneuvers.

He criticized the construction of socialism in the Soviet Union as a fantasy and promoted absurd sophistry, including "super-industrialization".

In particular, tried to break the foundations of the dictatorship of the proletariat.

The day before he died, Lenin, in his bed, called Trotsky Judas (traitor).

With Lenin's death, Trotsky's behavior became even more treacherous.

The Korean people have turned out as one in the frontal breakthrough to open a new avenue of socialist construction in order to carry out the tasks outlined in the historic 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
People in Kangwon Province have continued to make model experiences after appealing an emulation drive of self-reliance to the whole country. They are actively speeding up the construction of hydropower stations in order to solve the issue of electricity which is most urgent in the development of the local economy.
Though everything is insufficient and difficult, Kangwon Province is building large-scale hydropower stations by itself in succession to develop the local economy and improve the life of its people.

On the basis of the experiences, the province set a high goal to finish the construction of the Kosong, Sepho, Ichon, Munchon, Hoeyang and Phyonggang Army-People Power Stations qualitatively on a high level in the nearest future and has pushed ahead with it.
The builders in charge of the dam project finished building the mixture production process and installing dam crane in a short span of time, which would take several months according to an established custom. In this way they made innovative successes one after another. They also greatly sped up the reinforcement and form assembly, forcefully accelerating the dam project. They took all necessary measures such as mobilization of mechanical means and proper supply of materials, ensuring speed and quality.
In order to promote the waterway tunnel and water-draining projects the builders steadily increased the tunnelling speed through continuous drilling and sequence blasting. When their stone pictures were put on the gravestones, he visited their tomb and said that the revolutionary spirit of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their precious lives without hesitation in the defence of the sea of the country will be carried forward forever and that it is necessary to follow their feats and noble mentality.
That day he stated that there should be owner of the tomb in the gravestone and he will be the owner of their tomb.

                                            The Okryu Children's Hospital is in the Munsu area of Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In the hospital fully equipped with modern medical facilities, all children including newborn babies can receive treatment.
What is peculiar is the playing space and classrooms for children in the hospital.

The Okryu Children's Hospital built wonderfully according to the children's feelings is associated with the warm affection of the respected supreme leader Kim Jong Un who loves the children most.
In July Juche 102(2013) Kim Jong Un called at the hospital under construction despite the rainy weather and learned about the progress of the project and medical facilities and fixtures to be installed at the hospital.
Saying he would solve the problems arising in the construction of the hospital, he took measures to instal all the facilities and fixtures on the highest level.
That day, he called for building snug sickrooms in keeping with the children's feelings and mental qualities and building a heliport for children far away from the capital city.
He called at the hospital before its completion again in October Juche 102(2013). Going round different places of the hospital, he acquainted himself in detail with its construction and the installation of the medical facilities.

He was pleased to see a number of treatment rooms, took measures to provide the intensive care units with better conditions and taught specific ways to make the operating rooms germ-and dust-free.
