KCNA Commentary on LKP Derided Even by Children in South Korea
Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- The "Liberal Korea Party", the party of conservative traitors in south Korea, is finding itself in a piteous plight as it has become the laughingstock of even the youth and children, to say nothing of the people of various circles.
A typical example is a song in demand of the dissolution of the LKP composed by the vanguard of the youth and children for reunification made up of pupils of elementary and secondary schools.
The song entitled "Number song for dissolution of the LKP" interprets the numbers from one to ten, lampooning and ridiculing the party of traitors which is being criticized and denounced by the people for its evil deeds.
The song is the stern death sentence passed on the LKP by the rising generation which will represent the future, and reflection of the public mindset to stamp out the group of traitors.
To look back upon history, the gentries of the LKP have always been peerless criminals who have seriously threatened even the future of the youth and children, not content with ruthlessly trampling down the livelihood and rights of the people to satisfy their sinister political desire.
The conservative group enticed parents of innocent pupils to vote for them with its honeyed election promises like "half registration fee" but has resorted to unpopular educational policy of rendering education commercial and reactionary.
As a result, a lot of young people have led a deprived life as day laborers and committed suicide after abandoning their dreams and ideals in dark society ruled by conservative regimes.
It is very natural that the then Segye Ilbo of south Korea deplored the south Korean society preventing the sound growth of children.
When children were miserably buried at sea, the conservative group showed a poker face, leaving indelible scars in the hearts of their parents and grandparents, and insulted the parents as "body dealers". Now they are working hard to repeat their evil deed while beautifying their past. This leaves south Korean youth and children hard to repress surging indignation at them.
That's why the children are singing such a song, not children's song.
Actively responding to the song being sung by naive children, south Korean people from all walks of life are expressing their determination to liquidate the LKP and build a progressive society at any cost.
The daily-growing public mindset against the LKP will certainly lead to the second candlelight demonstration for stamping out the group of traitors.
The LKP can never escape the stern judgment by the people as it commits unpardonable crimes against the country and the nation while swimming against the public mindset and the trend of the times. -0
Answers to Questions on the Juche from Foster Klug of Associated Press given by Dr Dermot Hudson Chairman of the Juche Idea Study Group of England
Answers in Bold Italics
.1 How do you define Juche?
Juche is the idea that humans are the masters of everything and that people are the masters of the revolution and construction in their countries .It is about people taking an independent and creative stand , basically empowerment. In terms of practical and concrete application in policy terms it means independence in politics , self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance .The Juche idea was first conceived by President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese armed struggle and was further developed and systematised by Chairman Kim Jong Il
2. Why do you think some foreign DPRK analysts have trouble defining it (if you do)?
Bias and prejudice has a lot to do with it . Some Western analysts are chauvinistic, racist even, towards Korea looking down on it and also blinded by anti-socialist ideas. Also maybe they do not take the time out to properly study in depth so as to achieve a better understanding.
3. What do you mean think Juche means to People in the DPRK?
Juche is the life of the people of the DPRK . It the ideology that they have chosen because it guarantees independence and guides them in building a new socialist society in which everyone can have a better life . The people of the DPRK know their own experience and practice that the Juche idea is the truth, Juche in deep in the hearts of every citizen in the DPRK.
4. What does it mean to you?
To me the Juche idea is a great revolutionary philosophy and a guide in the struggle for socialism . It is an anti-imperialist and socialist idea .It is an idea for realising independence. It is a guide to human liberation and a way of empowering people.
5. Can you tell me something about your background and why you’re attached to Juche?
I am the Chairman of the Juche Idea Study Group of England and chairman of the UK Korean Friendship Association .I am 58 years old, a British citizen and i am a writer.
I came to the Juche idea in the 1980s as a young communist when I was looking for a new revolutionary ideology after becoming disillusioned with the revisionism (dilution of principles ) of the USSR and also some communist parties.
6. Can you recommend other foreign proponents of Juche?
There are 1,000 Juche Idea Study Groups in the world and there is the International Institute of the Juche Idea head quartered in Tokyo , Japan . There are scores of academics, political scientists ,political activists , students , workers and others who are Juche Idea followers .
7. Do you think Juche has taken on a new importance under the current leader? Has the meaning of it changed for people in the DPRK over the years?
Juche will always be important in the DPRK , respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is carrying forward the ideas of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il .I do not think the meaning of Juche has changed but of course it is being further developed .
Juche and self-reliance will enable the people of the DPRK to defeat the unjust reactionary imperialist sanctions .
8. When/if you visit the DPRK is there some way you quantify Juche? Is it the signs that mention it? The buildings named after it? Something else?
I do not think that you can quantify an idea and a philosophy . However visiting the DPRK you can see Juche being applied and the DPRK prospering under the banner of the Juche idea with new streets like Ryomyong Street and Mirae Scientists Street being constructed . Juche is guaranteeing the independence of the DPRK in the face of regime change attempts by imperialism.

DPRK Will Further Strengthen Friendly and Cooperative Relations with NAM Member States: Head of Its Delegation
Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Head of a delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea made a speech at NAM Foreign Ministerial Meeting on September 26 during the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly.
Noting ever since the emergence of unilateralism with the end of the cold war between the East and the West, power politics are increasingly prevailing over the international arena and interference, threats and wars of aggression are incessantly perpetrated against the NAM member states, he said:
In particular, the armed invasion against Iraq following the deceptive allegation of the so-called "possession of WMD" at the UN Security Council left a disgraceful page in the UN history.
In today's reality where high-handedness and arbitrariness driven by unilateralism become ever more undisguised, this incident is not a story of the past, but a serious lesson to be remembered forever by the sovereign states.
Without containing unilateralism, it is not possible to establish fair international relations and international order based on the principles of respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, non-interference in internal affairs and equality.
My delegation considers that the NAM member states will contribute to further strengthening the Movement under the current international situation by translating into practical actions the theme of this meeting: "Upholding the Principles of Sovereignty and Political Independence as a means to Maintain International Peace and Security and Foster Friendly Relations and Cooperation among States."
The most important issue in developing and strengthening the NAM is to decisively achieve the unity among its member states.
On the occasion of the 18th NAM Summit, the delegation of the DPRK made proposals on substantive issues to revitalize the Movement including instituting its emblem and flag as a step towards promoting unity and solidarity of the Movement in conformity with the character of the Movement as a powerful independent force against imperialism and a peace-loving force against war.
The government of the DPRK will, in the future, too, remain true to the noble ideals and principles of the NAM and further develop and strengthen the unity and solidarity of the Movement and the friendly and cooperative relations with its member states. -0-

DPRK Delegation Head Makes Speech at UNGA High-Level Meeting
Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- The head of the delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea made a speech at the UNGA High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage on September 23.
He said that activities on public health are for saving the valuable lives of human being and ensuring their dignity and fundamental rights, adding that public health is also a core issue of SDGs (sustainable development goals).
He went on:
Yet still, nearly half of the world population do not have access to basic medical care, let alone the benefit from advanced medical science, and its underlying cause can be said to be the lack of political will and practical efforts of the member states.
Public health system under the people-centered socialist country of our own style is a complete and universal free medical system which provides the medical care to all without distinction as to gender, age, occupation and residence.
We have set out the goal to elevate the health indices, including average life expectancy of the population and prevention rate of communicable diseases, up to the advanced level of the world in the near future by developing the public health service.
Since we have the strong infrastructure in health sector and the spirit of self-reliance and self-development, we are confident enough that we could overcome all challenges and achieve the health-related targets enshrined in SDGs within a short period of time.
Precautionary attention should be made in attaining the universal health coverage to keep the public health activities from degenerating into profit business, a considerable departure from its noble mission of saving lives and ensuring rights and dignity of the people.
The government of DPRK will continue to put enormous input into the socialist public health activities, thus actively contributing to the global endeavor for achieving health-related target of SDGs, by taking as its policy the full responsibility and care of the health of its people. -0-

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics ,the Juche Idea Study Group of England , the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) published a joint statement in support of the statement issued by the adviser to the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Kye Gwan :
The statement issued by Kim Kye Gwan , the advisor to the DPRK Foreign Ministry points out the that the US side has implemented what was agreed at the historic June 12th Summit between the leaders of the DPRK and US . The DPRK returned the remains of US soldiers and also released those US citizens detained for committing hostile acts against the DPRK to which they confessed to . However the US has not done anything to honestly implement the agreed points but instead has maintained draconian sanctions on the DPRK and carried out military exercises against the DPRK despite the US president saying this would not happen.
The state of DPRK-US dialogue remains precarious. If the US wants to engage in productive dialogue with the DPRK it needs to rollback its hostile anti-DPRK policy and lift sanctions on the DPRK.

Statement by Advisor to Foreign Ministry of DPRK
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Kim Kye Gwan, advisor to the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, released the following statement on September 27:
It draws my keen interest that it is highly topical these days in the U.S. to hold another DPRK-U.S. summit.
The past DPRK-U.S. summit meetings and talks served as historic occasions for the top leaders of the DPRK and the U.S. to express their political will to put an end to the hostile relations between the two countries and have peace and stability settled on the Korean peninsula.
But no practical follow-up was made to implement the issues agreed upon at the summit talks, casting shadow over the possibility of future summit talks.
The DPRK has made sincere efforts to build trust and implement the DPRK-U.S. joint statement, as evidenced by the repatriation of American detainees, who committed hostile acts against the DPRK, and of GIs' remains, etc.
However, the U.S. has done nothing for implementing the joint statement. On the contrary, it resumed the joint military drills, which the U.S. president personally pledged to suspend, and has ratcheted up sanctions and pressure on the DPRK only to make the DPRK-U.S. relations degenerate.
It is hard reality that politicians in Washington are obsessed with "nuclear disarmament-first" assertion-the DPRK can get access to a bright future only when it abandons its nukes first- and with twisted view regarding that sanctions led the DPRK to dialogue. This makes me doubt whether a new breakthrough could be brought about in the DPRK-U.S. relations though another DPRK-U.S. summit talks may open.
But I came to know that President Trump is different from his predecessors in political sense and decision while watching his approach to the DPRK, so I would like to place my hope on President Trump's wise option and bold decision.
I and the DPRK Foreign Ministry will follow the future moves of the U.S. -0-

KCNA Commentary on South Korean Conservatives' Farce for Seizing Power
Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The conservative group of south Korea, obsessed with a wild ambition for power, has recently revealed its black-hearted intention over the issue of the prosecution reform in south Korea.
The Minju Party and other democratic reformist forces fully support the authorities' appointment of new minister of Justice and call for a further intensified struggle for eradicating deep-seated evils and reform of power organs.
Much upset by it, the coteries of the "Liberal Korea Party" held an emergency meeting, in which they talked much about "intention to do harm to the public", "death of legalism" and "disappearance of common sense and justice." They agitate the like-minded conservatives, talking about "one million people's torch action."
After a team for accelerating the reform of the prosecution was formed, they began desperately opposing the prosecution reform, saying "the prosecution reform just means killing the prosecution" and "the prosecution should have courage to remain independent from the power."
Such behavior of the conservative group messing the south Korean political situation is just a desperate effort to check eradicating deep-seated evils and lay a springboard for seizing power at any cost.
The conservative group of traitors mercilessly trampled down justice, equality, legalism and democracy of the south Korean society, engrossed in corruption and irregularities and immoral conducts when they took power through illegal coups and swindles.
It is just the south Korean prosecution that shielded such unpopular politics of the fascist dictatorial regimes by invoking power and viciously suppressed the struggle of the democratic reformist forces for independence, democracy and reunification.
The forcible dissolution of the Unified Progressive Party, a legitimate political party, outlawing of the Teachers' Union and shutdown of Jaju Minbo, a progressive newspaper, during the Park Geun Hye regime period clearly showed the true colors of the prosecution which turned into a servant and watchdog for the conservative group.
The group of hideous traitors, which should have disappeared from the political arena as it was sternly punished by history, got buoyed up again and has gone so shameless as to talk about "torch". This is just an insult to and mockery of the public.
It is not hard to guess what the conservative group seeks.
It calculates that it can check the south Korean people's struggle for rooting out deep-seated evils and realize its cherished ambition for taking power again, only when it keeps preserving and controlling the prosecution which has played the role of its servant.
If the drive for judicial reform and eradication of deep-seated evils is not accelerated boldly in south Korea, the south Korean people will lose their hard-won gains of the candlelight revolution and the past when evils prevailed will repeat.
That's why south Koreans call for "staging a candlelight action again to realize the prosecution reform", asserting "prosecution reform is just the completion of deep-seated evil eradication." They have turned out in a struggle against the conservative group that disturbs social progress and democratic reform.
The conservative group of traitors dreaming of taking power again should be aware that the prosecution reform is the demand of the candlelight demonstrators aspiring after justice and democracy.
Desperate moves of the evil forces will be frustrated by the united struggle of the south Korean people. -0-

Speech by Dr Dermot Hudson on the 70th anniversary of the passing away of Madame KIM JONG SUK 21.09.2019
Comrades and friends ,
Tomorrow is the 70th anniversary of the passing away of Madame KIM JONG SUK who is known as the mother of Korea .Madame KIM JONG SUK is revered by the Korean people as the immortal heroine of the anti-Japanese guerrilla war of the Korean people for their independence . Although there is much talk of women’s rights, feminism and equality amongst progressive and socialist circles in Britain , Madame KIM JONG SUK is an unknown figure to them . I hope that this modest speech will make a contribution to introducing the life of Madame KIM JONG SUK to the British people.
On my first ever visit to the DPRK in 1992 we visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery at Mt Taesong, in Pyongyang City which is the final resting place of those heroes who under the leadership of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG took up arms,. I was very impressed to see the sculpture of the Madame KIM JONG SUK the great woman revolutionary fighter, heroine of the anti-Japanese war and the Mother of Korea . The sculpture was placed in an important position in the front row and it looks out over Pyongyang city almost as if Madame KIM JONG SUK is viewing the socialist paradise that she fought so hard to create.
Of course is not at all surprising that Madam KIM JONG SUK should be so prominent in the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery as it fully reflects the role that she played in the anti-Japanese revolutionary armed struggle after joining the revolution at a very young age.Madam KIM JONG SUK was the great woman general of Mt Paektu who fought at the side of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG
In the DPRK there are a number of statues of Madame KIM JONG SUK , the DPRK is probably the only Asian country to uphold , respect and venerate a woman leader . This something truly remarkable .It reflects both the great and immortal exploits of Madame KIM JONG SUK and at the same time the position of women in the DPRK a socialist country which grants equality to women .
Madame KIM JONG SUK passed away at a young age, only 32 years of age on the 22nd of September 1949. No doubt this reflected the hard life she lived making many sacrifices , always putting others first.
Madame KIM JONG SUK was born into a poor peasant family in Hoeryong in the far northern part of Korea. The Korea that she was born into was a colony of Japan. The Japanese operated a most vicious colonial rule and tried to obliterate the national identity of the Korean people by forbidding people to speak Korean. It was also a feudal society. Women in Korea faced double and triple oppression . Under feudal customs women were not expected to leave the home. Korean women devised the game of see saw to they see over the garden wall . Many Korean women were deprived of even the basic form of education so could not read and write . Some women did not have their own names but were just referred to as ‘mother of such and such’ . It should be mentioned that the Japanese occupiers committed grave crimes against Korean women by forcing over 200,000 Korean women into sexual slaver .
She and her family had to endure the extremely harsh exploitation , oppression and slavery of not only the Japanese imperialists who had colonized Korea but also the greedy landlords and capitalists . KIM JONG SUK was forced to turn a mill for a landlord because of a debt , in other words slavery .
KIM JONG SUK became very quickly aware of the contradictions of society as well the harsh , oppressive rule of the Japanese imperialists so she joined a revolutionary organisation at the early
age of 14 in September 1931. She had soon distinguished herself as a brilliant political worker . She made a deep impression on people . The veteran long term unconverted prisoner Ri In Mo recalls meeting her in the 1930s not knowing who she was . In September 1935 KIM JONG SUK was admitted to the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) commanded by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG . She quickly distinguished herself as an iron-willed adroit guerrilla fighter, particularly as a crackshot . She defended the life of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG on several occasions.
More importantly she defended the revolutionary ideology of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG and his policies . Because of its arduous and complex nature the Korean revolution was not without traitors and renegades. Some rightist capitulationists tried to undermine the guerrilla bases
and spread defeatism . They even arrested loyal revolutionary comrades as 'spies'. KIM JONG SUK had strong class consciousness and believed totally in the Juche-based revolutionary line of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG so she waged a struggle to smash the counter-revolutionary opportunists.
Madame KIM JONG SUK bought up her son comrade KIM JONG IL , the future leader of the
DPRK, to be a strong revolutionary and leader.
After liberation Madame KIM JONG SUK without stopping for a rest , threw herself into the work of building a new democratic Korea after its liberation from the long dark rule of Japanese imperialism. In particular she paid attention to the questions of women's liberation and was the founder of the Korean Democratic Women's Union . She opposed bourgeois feminism and instead put forward a Juche-based , proletarian , socialist feminism .This came from her unshakable class stand and belief in the Juche Idea of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG In the West bourgeois feminism has proved to be highly divisive , setting women against men .
Thanks to the ideas of KIM JONG SUK and the Juche-based socialist system women in the DPRK enjoy real equality . Many measures have been put in place to practically guarantee women's equality in society . The DPRK does not have pornography or the capitalist 'sex industry' or Western sexual culture which reduces women to pieces of meat . Today in the DPRK women are strong , independent minded , and revolutionary . This is the legacy of Madame KIM JONG SUK.
The life and achievements of Madame KIM JONG SUK are indeed very great so that the Korean people and revolutionary peoples of the world study and uphold them . In some countries organisations bearing her name have been formed such as the Peru group for the study of the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Suk and the Kim Jong Suk Women's Union of Russia .
Visiting the International Friendship Exhibition at Mt Myohyang in of 2017 r we saw the waxwork statue of Madame KIM JONG SUK which looked very lifelike . Looking at the statue I recalled the great exploits of Madame KIM JONG SUK , Mother of Korea, heroine of the anti-Japanese revolutionary , indomitable communist revolutionary fighter and the pioneer of Juche-based , socialist women's liberation.
KCNA Commentary Slams Japan's Project for Constitutional Revision
Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- Japan has openly revealed its project for constitutional revision.
Prime Minister Abe, at a recent press conference concerning Cabinet reshuffle, confirmed again his "determination to carry out constitutional revision at any cost."
Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Aso also called for specifying the existence of the "Self-Defense Forces" in the Constitution. A series of similar remarks are heard within the Liberal Democratic Party recently.
This shows that the island nation is working hard to turn itself into a military giant and realize the wild ambition for overseas expansion.
Japan's desperate moves for constitutional revision are aimed to turn itself into a war state by setting up a legal and institutional mechanism for unleashing a war.
For over 70 years since its defeat in the war, Japan has never dropped its revengeful thoughts and wild ambition for reinvasion.
It has steadily pursued the policy for militarization and military giant, transforming the ground, maritime and air "Self-Defense Forces" into powerful ones capable of launching overseas aggression.
Today it plans to have an actual aircraft carrier and organize a "space operation force."
Article 9 of the Constitution banning Japan from having army and exercising the right of belligerency and the right to participate in a war cannot but be an obstacle to mobilization of such forces for overseas aggression.
Japan seeks to regain the right to use armed forces it was deprived of due to its defeat, promote the SDF to elite forces and thus legitimize overseas aggression.
The Abe regime is working harder to modify the Constitution during its tenure of office that will end in Sept. 2021.
Abe, regarding the constitutional revision as his "lifetime task", insists on the need for constitutional revision whenever he has an opportunity, saying that "it is the time to buckle down to constitutional revision, the cherished desire of LDP" and "he remains unchanged in pursuing the goal for making new constitution take effect from 2020."
It is not fortuitous that criticism terming the recent Cabinet reshuffle the one for constitutional revision is mounting in the political circles of Japan.
Japan's projected constitutional revision is not an issue confined to internal affairs of a country or related to modification of paragraphs. It is just a serious political and international matter related to peace and security of the Korean Peninsula, Asia and the rest of the world.
Japan has a crime-woven history in which it inflicted unbearable misfortune and ravages upon the Korean people and other peoples in the world.
Such a country is seeking to modify articles of the Constitution for belligerent purposes, far from atoning for its past crimes, just prompted by its risky way of thinking to take the path of militarism. This is a reckless act of blatantly challenging the desire of mankind for peace.
Japan's moves for igniting a war of aggression again should not be allowed.
The international community should never overlook such foolhardy moves of Japan. -0-

UK KFA slams FCO propaganda on human rights
23rd of September 2019
The UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) issued the following statement denouncing
the UK Foreign Commonwealth Office's statement to the UN Periodic Health Rights Review :
We denounce the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) for its interference in the DPRK's internal affairs and hostility to the socialist system in the DPRK.
Recently the UK Mission to the UN issued a statement saying that there are "widespread, and systematic human rights violations in the DPRK".
This is a total lie ! There are no human rights violations in the DPRK , there are no concentration camps etc . Everyone in the DPRK has the right to free health , free education as well as a job and housing .These rights are not guaranteed in the UK and other Western countries .
What the UK FCO is really calling for is the overthrow of the people-centred socialist system in the DPRK !
