NPCK Spokesman Raps U.S. and S. Korean Warmongers' Projected Ulji Freedom Guardian

    Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and south Korean war-like forces openly disclosed their plan to stage Ulji Freedom Guardian, nuclear war exercises targeted against the DPRK.
    The south Korean puppet military gangsters announced that they would formally apply their "tailored deterrence strategy" and the like to those drills to be staged under the simulated conditions of an actual war, asserting they would fully put into practice new strategic conceptions to cope with the "nuclear and missile threats" from the north.
    The spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea (NPCK) said in a statement issued on Thursday in this regard:
    Their projected war exercises are not only a blatant challenge to the sincere efforts of the DPRK for improving the inter-Korean relations and achieving peace and detente on the Korean peninsula but also a grave military provocation against the DPRK.
    Worse still, their formal announcement of the plan to apply their "tailored deterrence strategy", a plan for a preemptive nuclear strike at the DPRK, is little short of a declaration of a nuclear war against it.
    The U.S. and puppet military gangsters are taking issue with the military drills staged by the DPRK in its own territory, while conducting madcap nuclear war maneuvers targeted against it in south Korea and waters off it almost every day with the mobilization of large-scale aggressor troops including nuclear carrier.
    This is nothing but sheer sophism of shameless robbers and a ridiculous reckless action which can be conducted only by them.
    The U.S. and the puppet group should bear in mind that all aggressor forces to be involved in the projected drills, the military bases in south Korea and overseas, the White House, Pentagon, Chongwadae and all other bases for aggression and provocations will be targets of the powerful ultra-modern high-precision firepower strike means including strategic and tactical rockets of the DPRK's revolutionary armed forces.

Sexual Slavery for U.S. Forces Disclosed

 Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- A criminal fact that had been buried deep into the oblivion of history for decades was disclosed recently. It is the sexual slavery for the U.S. forces enforced on south Korean women in the 1950s after the Korean war. Revealing this, Wall Street Journal said that this was enforced at the connivance of the south Korean puppet government at the request of the U.S. forces.
    Rodong Sinmun on Thursday in a commentary says that the sexual slavery for the U.S. forces fully revealed Yankees' dirty history interwoven with immoral and indecent acts.

It is intolerable that the newly appointed south Korean puppet 'defence' minister one Han Min Gu should make anti-DPRK warmongering remarks . The puppet 'defence ' boss visited Yongphyong island , a scene of military defeat for the south Korean puppets in 2010, and made wild remarks calling for "punishement" and saying "the island is the place where belligerency and barbarity of someone were vividly manifested". Han overlooks the fact the sole responsibility for the incident rests with the south Korean puppets and their Yankee bosses who provoked the incident by shelling areas of the DPRK and suffered relatiatory and self-defensive action of the DPRK.

U.S. State Department's Annual Report on Religious Freedom: News Analyst

Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- The U.S. State Department on July 28 in an annual report on international religious freedom for 2013 groundlessly pulled up the DPRK over its religious situation.
    It enlisted the DPRK as a "country of special concern" as regards the religious issue, while groundlessly pulling it up, claiming that genuine religious freedom is not guaranteed in north Korea and religious activities of individuals and organizations are harshly suppressed.
    It is a height of hypocrisy for the U.S. to cry out for religious freedom as it has been engrossed in regime changes and destabilization activities in those countries that court its displeasure while going under the mask of religion.

KCNA Commentary Discloses Aggressive Nature of U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Drills

Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- The British magazine The Week on July 25 said that U.S. special units are involved in the U.S.-south Korea joint military drills such as the annual Foal Eagle to get ready to intrude into the DPRK.
    It is hard to describe the joint military exercises as "defensive" under the situation where the U.S. and south Korea are staging drills for infiltrating commandoes into the DPRK, the magazine noted.
    This brought to light once again the fact that the U.S. and south Korea's claim that those joint military exercises are of "defensive nature" is no more than a fig-leaf to cover up their aggressive nature.
    The DPRK is by no means frightened by these joint maneuvers. But they can never be overlooked in the light of their targets and programs.
    The U.S. hurled precision strike weapons, special units, etc. into various military drills such as Key Resolve and Foal Eagle annual events.
    The "emergency plan for attacking the north", OPLAN 5029 and other war scenarios worked out by the U.S. are aimed to bring down the political system in the DPRK after kicking off a riot by infiltrating special units.
    The U.S. which succeeded in bringing down social systems in other countries through wars by use of special forces is pinning hope on such method for igniting the second Korean war.
    Prompted by the above-said scenarios, the U.S. is hurling special units into ceaseless military drills under various codenames on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity.
    This year the U.S. staged the largest-ever Max Thunder combined air drills aimed at an all-out air strike at the DPRK in the wake of the Ssangryong large-scale joint landing drills at a time when the Foal Eagle joint military exercise reached its height.
    The U.S. and the south Korean puppet army let more than 100 various type fighters and planes including F-15s, F- 16s, FA-18s, C-130s and AWACS E-737s and more than 1 400 troops stage drills for air battle, "striking the bases of provocation", air refueling operations and dropping supplies for special forces under simulated conditions of their infiltration into the depth of the DPRK.
    As seen above, the U.S. has openly staged provocative war drills aimed at bringing down the social system in the DPRK with huge troops for aggression and even special forces involved.
    However, it is describing them as "defensive" and "annual" ones. This is nothing but a deceptive artifice to cover up the aggressive nature, essence and danger of the war drills targeting the DPRK and a mockery of the Korean people and other peoples aspiring after peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world.
    While staging war drills aimed at invading the DPRK and bringing down its social system, the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are terming the DPRK's regular drills for self-defence "provocations". This is just like a guilty party filing the suit first.
    The situation clearly proves that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are the very provocateurs and arch criminals harassing peace and escalating the danger of a war on the peninsula.
    A grave situation is now prevailing on the peninsula due to the evermore undisguised war provocations of the hostile forces.
    Self-restraint and concession before an enemy brandishing a dagger precisely means self-ruin.

    Visiting the missile command of the puppet ground force, he called for "getting fully combat-ready" so as to "strike any target in the north", fully disclosing his belligerent nature.
    South Korea is now in a position to launch missiles in reliance on its American master whom it blindly kowtows to. Yet, it is mulling countering the powerful revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu which is equipped with the most sophisticated strike means in the world. This reminds one of a poor puppy unafraid of a tiger.
    Han even talked about "existence of social system" in the nuclear weapons state DPRK, reminiscent of an old rabid dog noisily barking at the moon.

    A local court of the U.S. recently made a ruling that the DPRK was also to blame for the killing of Israelis by Hezbollah in Lebanon as it allegedly provided the organization with missiles and military assistance.
    Meanwhile, Western media are floating a report that a contract on the purchase of missiles and communication equipment worth hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars is being pushed forward between the DPRK and Hamas of Palestine.
    This is utterly baseless sophism and sheer fiction let loose by the U.S. to isolate the DPRK internationally.
    Lurking behind this propaganda is a sinister intention of the U.S. to justify its criminal acts of backing Israel driven into a tight corner by its recent unethical killings in the Gaza Strip of Palestine.
    At the 21st extraordinary meeting of the UN Human Rights Council the U.S. was the only country that voted against a resolution on the situation in the Gaza Strip in favor of Israel when it was put on voting, becoming a target of international accusation.

Kim Jong Un Guides Rocket Firing Drill of Strategic Force of KPA

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, guided a rocket firing drill of the strategic force of the KPA on the spot.     The drill was staged on July 26, a day before the anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. It was conducted by a firepower strike unit of the strategic force of the KPA tasked to strike bases of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces in south Korea.
    He examined a firing plan mapped out in consideration of the present location of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces' bases in south Korea and under the simulated conditions of the battle to strike and destroy them before guiding the drill.
    The drill proved the high combat capability of the firepower strike unit and the perfect performance of its tactical rockets.
    Kim Jong Un expressed his great satisfaction over a series of successful drills of the strategic force, saying: "Rocket test-fire drills were conducted many times recently to develop the Juche-based rocket science and technology and firing methods. As a result, the strategic force is fully ready to successfully carry out any firepower strike mission in modern warfare. The roar heard from today's firepower drill conducted to mark the war victory day is just like a thrilling gun report heralding the completion of the strategic force's combat preparations."
    Stressing history can never be altered, concealed and cooked up, he recalled that the U.S. and the south Korean regime are staging a ridiculous charade of describing their past defeat in the war as "victorious one" through Obama's unjustifiable "speech" and Park Geun Hye's "presidential memorial address" made on the occasion of July 27, instead of drawing a lesson from their ignominious defeat in the past war.

    Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- The U.S. has made every possible effort to distort the truth about the Korean war over the past more than six decades. The U.S. and south Korean puppet forces are now going so foolish as to paint the day of their defeat as "day of victory in the war," a political chicanery.
    The Fatherland Liberation War fought by the Korean people was the war of justice to protect the sovereignty of the nation and its territorial integrity from the aggressors' gangster-like invasion to dominate the DPRK.

Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum

The Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum is located on the bank of the picturesque Pothong River in Pyongyang.

It was opened on July 27, Juche 102(2013) to mark the 60^th anniversary of victorious war.

It is a palace of victory built by the service personnel and people of Korea with their patriotic devotion under the energetic leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un to glorify for all ages the traditions and history of victory recorded by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and achieve only victories forever.

The magnificent museum is perfect from the aspect of architectural beauty and formative art.

It was built in the vast area with the main theme sculpture “Victory” of the monument to Victorious War in front, carved in relief on it are the autograph of Marshal Kim Jong Un “Respect to Great Years” and the dates “1950-1953”, the years of war.

The museum consists of the main building which covers an area of 93 000m² and has a total floor space of 51 000m², open-air weaponry exhibition hall with an area of 6 840m², monument to victorious war and US armed spy ship “Pueblo”.

The museum and its area is an anti-imperialist, anti-US education base and a grand open-air museum.

Preserved there are 344 revolutionary relics, over 120 000 war remains and mementoes and data in their origin.

In the central hall of the main building there stands a colorful statue of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung acknowledging the enthusiastic cheers of Korean army and people on the square to celebrate war victory in July Juche 42(1953).

The halls and exhibition rooms on the underground floor and other three floors above the ground comprehensively show the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in the victorious war and the Songun revolution and the heroic fighting spirit and feats of the Korean service personnel and civilians.

On the first floor there are halls for the anti-Japanese armed struggle and for the building of regular armed forces.

The hall concerning war provocation shows the true nature of the US imperialists and the South Korean puppets who unleashed the aggressive war against the DPRK.

On the second floor there are halls for the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung who organized and led the army and people with his outstanding military thoughts and strategies and tactics.

On display there are also large cycloramas, relief models, wax sculptures, photographs and remains vividly showing major battles in the war and the heroic feats of brave soldiers of the Korean People’s Army.

There are halls on the Chinese People’s Volunteers and on the world support.

Halls concerning the US barbarities and its defeat on the second floor exhibit materials showing the bestial atrocities by the US imperialists during the war and their defeat.

Halls on the third floor display materials of the struggle of different arms, services and specialized units of the People’s Army and the struggle of the civilian population in the rear.

A large panorama in the Taejon Hall linked with the main building vividly shows the victory of operation to liberate Taejon commanded by President Kim Il Sung.

In the museum there is the Hall for the Victorious Songun Revolution which comprehends leader Kim Jong Il’s immortal exploits in the Songun revolution to lead the anti-imperialist, anti-US confrontation for safeguarding the country and nation and socialism.

On the under ground floor there are rooms for introducing the history of the museum, reading war books and e-data, watching were films and meeting heroes.

In the open air there are the exhibition of merited weapons that performed exploits during the war and the exhibition of US weapons captured by the People’s Army.

On display there is the US armed spy ship “Pueblo” which was captured while committing espionages in the territorial waters of the DPRK.

The Monument to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War erected in Juche 82(1993) to mark the 40^th anniversary of the victorious war covers the gate at the entrance and on both sides the monument to proposition of President Kim Il Sung, the monument to poem, a Party flag, and the colours, the main theme sculpture “Victory” at the end of the central axis opposite the gate and 10 sub-thematic sculptural groups on both sides before it.

The Fatherland Liberation War Museum is a centre of education in tradition of victory and a main base of anti-imperialist class education that inspire the Korean army and people with a firm will to emerge ever-victorious.

A Soldier Opened His Eyes

Marshal Kim Jong Un supreme commander of the Korean Peoples Army on his tours of the Songun-based revolutionary leadership often have photographs taken together with soldiers.

Mass media give wide publicity to photographs he posed for together ordinary soldiers like his comrades-in-arms.

A photograph is associated with an exciting story.

The following happened when sailors of the People’s Army were unexpectedly sacrificed in an accident on their routine duty in the sea.

Informed of it, Kim Jong Un was too sad to go to sleep.

He decided to put stone pictures of the fallen soldiers on their gravestones.

Watching the photographs of sailors one by one, he earnestly remembered the bright and optimistic sailors in their service days.

All of a sudden, his face was beclouded with anxiety over a soldier’s photograph with his eyes closed.

An official told him that the young soldier had left only the photograph in his ID card.

It was lamentable that he could not but put the photograph on the gravestone.

When officials found no other way, Kim Jong Un’s comradeship brought about a miracle.

In a sleepless night he remembered that he had a photograph taken at the unit of the sailors and gave an instruction to enlarge the photograph and find the soldier.

In the enlarged photograph the young soldier appeared with his eyes wide open with a great delight to join Marshal Kim Jong Un in photographing.

The officials were all deeply impressed at the comradeship of Kim Jong Un to make every soldier alive forever with his image.

When the gravestones were completed, Kim Jong Un said on the spot that he would like to be the owner of the graves and asked officials to carve his name on the gravestones, adding he would feel relieved a bit only when his name is carved on them.

Under his greatest and warmest affection the soldiers are enjoying eternal life today too.

Time and Work

Leader Kim Jong Il worked energetically throughout his life only for the country and people, doing work for a month in a day and work for a year in a month.

One day an official went to his office to make an important report.

The moment he entered his office, the official stepped short.

Kim Jong Il was attentively examining a document at his desk, touching it up now and then, with a tape recorder playing beside him.

The official stood still by the door for fear that he would interrupt him.

Without taking his eyes off the document, Kim Jong Il asked why the official was standing there and urged him to report his work.

While reading the document and hearing a music played by a tape recorder, Kim Jong Il detected every erroneous point in the report and rectified it.

After a little while he turned off the tape recorder and called up an official.

He said that he had heard the new song two or three times to find the works good and the music peculiar, adding that it would be better for a certain singer of a certain art troupe to sing it.

He rang off and wrote in a vigorous stroke some of his opinions on the upper part of the front cover of the draft of the document and put his signature.

After hearing out the official, he gave some of his opinions and unfolded another document on his desk.

Like this, Kim Jong Il devoted all his life for the prosperity of the country and the welfare of people with quite different time and manner of work from others.

A Girl Saved Miraculously

The following happened at a TV relay station in a remote mountain.

One cold winter day in Juche 67(1978) a girl mechanic was suddenly taken ill and got nearly senseless at a TV relay station on the top of a peak 2 000m above the sea.

The mountain trails were covered deep with snow and in the dark it was impossible to find the trail.

Relay men were at a loss what to do.

If they carried the patient in the critical condition on their back to the faraway hospital in the fierce wind, a misfortune might happen to her, they thought.

They tried hard to save her life, but she lost consciousness and her limbs got paralyzed.

Informed of it, Kim Jong Il said no one but we would save her.

He gave directions to relevant officials as to sending a helicopter there and ensured that men of the Ministry of Public Health were ready to give first aid.

In a blinding snowstorm the crew miraculously landed the helicopter to carry the patient to a hospital.

In pursuance of the direction of Kim Jong Il the hospital hold a consultative meeting of physicians, nurses and other health workers to take measures to save the girl.

Leader Kim Jong Il sent expensive medicines to her.

People brought good drugs and the officials stayed up with her all might, putting aside all their busy work.

Thanks to the assistance of the whole country the patient recovered her health and returned to her post on the mountaintop.

The benevolence of Kim Jong Il who valued and loved men was the elixir of life which brought the dead girl back to life.

The legend of his love for people is associated with all places of the DPR Korea.

Spring Light

Marshal Kim Jong Un, addressing an event celebrating the 100^th anniversary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, called for enabling the people who overcame all difficulties to enjoy socialist wealth and prosperity.

With an aim to keep the promise made with people he is always on his field guidance tour day and night.

Palaces for workers and children are built in all places of the country and the whole country is converted into a flower garden of human love under the care of Marshal Kim Jong Un for the people and the posterity.

While giving field guidance to Jagang Province, he happened to see a building at a machine plant.

When he was satisfied to see the building constructed like a splendid palace conducive to the cultural and leisure activities of workers, officials requested him to name the building.

Watching the building for a while, he suggested naming it Haebang House.

The officials were surprised. They wondered whether the word liberation would suit the building because they had used to hear the word only in such expressions as national liberation or liberation war.

Reading their mind, Kim Jong Un said the name of the building should clearly reflect the objective of complete liberation of workers from hard and backbreaking labor.

The name could be given only by Kim Jong Un with his kindred affection for workers.

A large socialist family of the DPRK will always overflow with warm spring light under the loving care of Kim Jong Un for people.

Career Devoted to the Songun-Based Revolutionary Leadership

The Korean people are still earnestly yearning for leader Kim Jong Il, the sun of Songun and vigorously marching along the road indicated by him.

Kim Jong Il devoted his whole life to the Songun-based revolutionary leadership.

One January day in Juche 100(2011) he talked with commanding officers of the Korean People’s Army.

He stressed the need to channel great efforts into strengthening the People’s Army for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche and the Songun revolutionary cause generation after generation.

He pointed out: “The People’s Army is the pillar and the main force of the Songun revolution. If political power fell down, it can be restored, but if the army crumbled, all things come to an end.

It is an undisputable truth taught by the international socialist movement full of ups and downs.”

He said in deep emotion: “I started the Songun-based revolutionary leadership by giving field guidance to the People’s Army, pursuant to the noble will of President Kim Il Sung and have led the revolution and construction believing in the People’s Army and relying on it.

In order to strengthen the army I went wherever there were soldiers, whether remote mountain post or island subunit.

My life can be said to be a life for soldiers.”

On the tour of his Songun-based revolutionary leadership Kim Jong Il printed his footmarks in all places of the country.

He said he would in the future too, invariably go the road of Songun President Kim Il Sung traveled.

On the road of Songun traveled by Kim Jong Il all his life the country could be provided with welfare and the People’s Army could grow into invincible ranks.

Kim Jong Il lived his whole life with patriotic devotion in the Songun-based revolutionary leadership, regarding it as the greatest pleasure and happiness.

Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of Party, state and army of the DPRK defined Kim Jong Il’s exploits in the Songun-based leadership as the driving force for victory and visits the People’s Army units one after another.

Under his care Kim Jong Il will be alive forever in the hearts of the Korean people and the world progressives and the DPRK will shed its light of Songun and emerge victorious forever

We Are the Happiest in the World

In April Juche 103(2014) Marshal Kim Jong Un visited the newly reconstructed Songdowon International Children’s Camp.

Watching the slogan “We Are the Happiest in the World!” displayed in the compound of the camp, he said the slogan was very good, adding that it clearly reflected the gratitude of the children in the DPRK to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and to the Party for projecting them as kings of the country and loving them.

He said: “We are struggling, regarding our trouble as pleasure, to enable our children and people to live with nothing to desire more in the world and the slogan helps us undertake any difficult job with pleasure.”

He suggested making the Songdowon International Children’s Camp resound with the laughter and song of children.

Visiting the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace, he said it is a firm resolution of the Party to make the sons and daughters of working people develop their talent to their hearts’ content and suggested setting on the top of the palace building the letters “We are the happiest in the world!” and “Let us dash to the future!”.

He also called for making the palace as the cradle of love where the children, kings of the country bring their hopes into full bloom and the best children’s palace in the world to convey the love of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for the posterity and future generation after generation.

To build a socialist thriving state as the best in the world for the younger generation is the firm determination of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

That’s why the schoolchildren in the DPRK loudly sing: “Our father is Marshal Kim Jong Un”, “Our home is the Party’s embrace” and “We are the happiest in the Party’s Embrace”.

Father of Soldiers

54 years have elapsed since leader Kim Jong Il started his Songun-based revolutionary leadership with a visit to Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105^th Tank Division of the KPA on August 25, Juche 49(1960).

From the historic day till the last period of life Kim Jong Il went wherever soldiers lived, looking after their life with parental affection.

One spring day in Juche 84(1995) he dropped in at a women’s coast artillery company on the tour of his Songun-based revolutionary leadership and took a measure for the soldiers to come up to Pyongyang for relaxation.

He mapped out a schedule for their tour and instructed officials to make an able cameraman accompany them to take souvenir photographs of them and provide photograph albums to them.

The soldiers spent a good time. When they were to return, the soldiers received photograph albums, collective and individual, from Kim Jong Il.

Opening the albums, every soldier was surprised to find the first page blank.

An official told them how it was.

Kim Jong Il had seen a company photograph album and small individual photograph albums showing girl soldiers smiling in happiness.

Examining the composition of photographs and their color and the quality of print paper, he watched an individual photograph on the first page and was lost in thought.

After a while he suggested leaving the first page blank, saying:

“In the future the girl soldiers would be discharged from service. They would marry and have wedding picture taken. Then, it would be very significant to put the wedding picture on the blank page, I think.”

Like this, Kim Jong Il, seeing photograph albums, took a quite scrupulous interest in the future of girl soldiers as their father rather than their Supreme Commander.

That’s why the soldiers of the Korean People’s Army call him their father, trusting in him absolutely and supporting his ideas and leadership more faithfully than anybody else.

Kim Jong Il’s Songun-based revolutionary leadership was a proud history of forming a harmonious whole with soldiers and emerging victorious by dint of its strength.

The history will continue under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army who is just the same with leader Kim Jong Il.

Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery

On July 25, Juche 102(2013) the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery was built to mark the 60^th anniversary of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

It covers a total area of 200 000m²

In front of the cemetery, there are gateposts of three-figure group of sculptures with a fluttering party and national flags as their background and figures “1950” and “1953”（period of the war）inscribed on them.

After passing the gateposts the visitors can see the monument to proposition of President Kim Il Sung that heroic feats and undying exploits performed by the officers and men of the People’s Army will be recorded forever in brilliant golden letters in the revolutionary history of the Korean people and told forever down through generations.

There also stand the monument to poem dedicated to the fallen fighters and sculptures depicting the heroic struggle of People’s Army soldiers.

The memorial tower of the People’s Army Martyrs with the height of tens of meters is composed of a rifle, a bayonet, a national flag and a Republic Hero medal.

It portrays in a peculiar style of formative art the ideas that the country, happiness, future and final victory are all guaranteed by weapons.

In front of the memorial tower, there is a wreath-laying stand “Soul of Heroes” representing martyr’s coffin.

In the area of the semi-circled cemetery, there are graves of over 500 fallen fighters on 9 tiers according to the years of their death.

The gravestones with stone photographs of martyrs on them are inscribed with a medal of Hero of the DPRK, their names, birthdays and death days.

Marshal Kim Jong Un suggested building the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery and gave scrupulous teaching on its site and the ways and means for the building. He said our Party is the owner of the graves of the People’s Army martyrs, known and unknown, who sacrificed themselves in the Fatherland Liberation War.

As the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery was newly built, the heroic feats of the People’s Army martyrs could be glorified forever with prosperity of Socialist Korea and the army, people and younger generations of the DPRK could more deeply learn the indomitable revolutionary spirit and the spirit of defending the country.

CPRK Secretariat Assails S. Korean District Court for Sentencing Inhabitant to Penal Servitude

Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) released information bulletin No. 1069 Thursday blasting the south Korean puppet Chongju District Court for sentencing again to six months in prison recently an inhabitant who had been indicted for the fifth time for praising the DPRK at a trial.
    The bulletin said:
    He was sentenced to eight months in prison for posting articles praising the DPRK on website in May 2011. But at every hearing he shouted "Long Live the Democratic People's Republic of Korea!", not abandoning his principle. He has so far been in jail as his penal servitude was extended for the fifth time.
    What he did reflected his faith, conscience and people's mindset.
    However, the puppet forces of south Korea have brutally suppressed him and sentenced him to penal servitude, a revelation of their desperate moves to prevent the people's mindset from supporting the DPRK.
    After its emergence the present conservative regime has intensified the fascist suppression of progressive and democratic forces in south Korea including pro-reunification movement organizations and figures.
    Anyone who utters even a word of longing for the DPRK is labeled as the "forces following the north" and is thrown into prison on charges of violation of the "Security Law" whether he is an ordinary citizen, teacher, man of literature and arts, religionist or even a lawmaker. This is a deplorable reality of south Korea.
    With nothing can the south Korean regime quell the south Koreans' longing for the stirring reality in the DPRK which makes leaping progress toward a bright future under the wise guidance of the great illustrious commander and their desire for achieving reunification through alliance with the north just as it is hard to get the sun eclipsed by palms.
    The present fascist junta can never escape the same miserable fate as what the "yusin" dictatorial regime did as it threw behind bars and severely punished anyone who uttered a mere word of reunification. -0-

U.S. Falls into Decay due to Economic Crisis: Rodong Sinmun

 Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- The U.S. blusters that it would remain as the "world's leader" in the 21st century, too, but the rapidly changing reality gives a negative answer, says Rodong Sinmun Thursday in an article.
    This is proven by the ever-worsening state of the U.S. as the dollar empire, the article says, and goes on:
    The U.S. dollar had held a predominant position among all currencies in the world.
    It is the current international financial system that put the U.S. dollars on such a position.
    This system sustained a heavy blow as dollar's convertibility to gold ended in August 1971.
    The U.S. had made desperate efforts to maintain dollar's predominant position.
    Entering the 21st century, the European Union dealt a heavy blow at the U.S. attempt by introducing regional currency.
    In the Latin American region, Sukre, the common currency of member nations of ALBA appeared. It is also foreseen that Africa is to introduce regional currency.
    Lots of countries that possessed U.S. dollars as reserve currency are replacing them with other convertible currencies
    The situation proves that the U.S. dollar is rejected in different parts of the world and even in America.
    The world has got awakened from its illusion about dollar and is turning its back on it. It has given a death sentence to the dollar.
    No matter how desperately the U.S. may try to maintain its existence, it can never turn back its fate doomed to ruin. -0-

Promise

Promise

Marshal Kim Jong Un strictly keeps the promise he made with people.

One day he looked round new aquatic products refrigerating facilities built by a unit of the Korean People’s Army as his first field guidance in Juche 103(2014).

He said he would supply fishes to the baby homes, orphanages, orphans’ primary and secondary schools and old folks’ homes across the country everyday all the year round.

For the purpose he took a measure to build a fishery station specializing in supplying fish and visited the construction site twice, solving all problems arising in the project.

In April Juche 103(2014) he visited the January 8 fishery station of the KPA just before commissioning and said with satisfaction that it was an astonishing miracle that such huge project was successfully completed in a matter of a little over two months since it was initiated so that it could go operational soon.

He also said that now our Party became able to keep the promise made with people.

Here is another story.

Visiting an air unit of the KPA, Marshal Kim Jong Un kindly complied with a request of a woman air pilot to name her new- born baby and promised to name him.

Remembering the promise, Kim Jong Un at the First Meeting of Airpersons of the KPA suggested naming her son Ri Chung Do in the meaning of going one road of loyalty indicated by the Party.

The popular traits of Marshal Kim Jong Un who named a son of an ordinary woman air pilot to keep the promise he made on the road of field guidance are told by all people of the country like a legend.

Kim Jong Un loves the people most and spares nothing for them.

The history of his affection will continue in the future too.

DPRK's Victory in Last Korean Wa

 Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea wrought world-startling miracles in the 1950-1953 Korean War, provoked by the U.S. imperialists.
    In the war, its two-year old Korean People's Army had to fight against the U.S. aggression forces who boasted of being the "strongest in the world". Involved in it from the U.S side were at least two million troops and 73 millions of tons of munitions, 11 times those consumed in the Pacific War. So, the world public described the Korean War as a "war between adult and child".
    However, the DPRK shattered to smithereens the myth of U.S. imperialism's "mightiness". Its victory in the war was entirely attributable to the distinguished military leadership of President

Kim Il Sung.
    After the outbreak of the war, the KPA countered the U.S. imperialists' surprise attack with the active and instant counteroffensive and all-out attack, under the command of Kim Il Sung possessed of gifted strategy and superb war tactics, matchless pluck and guts.
    The U.S., at the beginning of the war, boasted that it would come to an end within 72 hours, but the situation turned out unfavorable to the U.S. with the KPA's liberation of Seoul within 72 hours.
    The KPA constantly weakened the U.S. imperialist aggression forces and frustrated every reckless attack of the enemy by dint of the unique strategy and tactics initiated by Kim Il Sung.
    The strategy and tactics included besiegement employed in the combat to liberate Taejon, demolition operation behind enemy lines, tunnel tactics, aircraft-hunting and tank-hunting team movements, snipers' activity and separate heavy machine-gun team activity.
    During the war Kim Il Sung made sure that workshops were held to widely introduce the Juche-based war tactics to all the frontline areas and personally taught the war methods on his tour of inspection of the front.
    After all, the U.S. suffered a tremendous loss of troops and munitions in the Korean War, nearly 2.3 times that in the Pacific War.
    It was thanks to Kim Il Sung's great loving care that the army and people of the DPRK could fight heroically to win in the war.
    In September Juche 40 (1951) he personally climbed Mt. Jihye near Height 1211 where a KPA unit was fighting fierce battles to defend it. And he advised its commanding officer to supply warm meals to the soldiers in cool weather, saying that nothing is more precious than them. He also suggested that a frontline rest home be set up for the weak soldiers.
    Encouraged by his loving care, all the servicepersons and civilians of the DPRK turned out in the battles to defend the country, fully displaying mass heroism.
    With this history of great war victory, the DPRK led by Marshal Kim Jong Un is now making full preparation to win the final victory in the showdown with the U.S.-led imperialists. -0-
