US and UN Hypocrisy
Where is the condemnation and UNSC sanctions
for south Korea for launching a rocket ? Will their ambassador get
called to the FCO ? Will they get lectures that they should be spending
money on something else ? I doubt it somehow. It is the
US that carries out most of the nuclear tests in the world The US and UNSC are the biggest stinking lying hypocrites in the entire world with 'Do As I say but
dont do as I do mentality.

UN "Resolution" Reminiscent of "Munich Pact": Social Scientist
Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- The UN Security Council recently cooked
up a "resolution on sanctions" against the Democratic People's Republic
of Korea over its satellite launch, at the initiative of the United
States.
The "resolution" is reminiscent of the "Munich Pact," which was concluded in 1938, aiming to deprive a sovereign state of its territory, a social scientist of the DPRK said.
Kim Ha Il, a researcher of the Academy of Social Sciences, told KCNA:
The prevailing situation over the DPRK's satellite launch clearly proves that there is a limit to capabilities of parties concerned in their efforts to fairly handle the issue and avert aggravation of the situation.
The DPRK has never expected that the U.S. and its followers' hostile policy towards the DPRK would be readjusted by the efforts of the parties concerned but regarded it as a truth that it should settle accounts with the U.S. by dint of strength only.
It is as clear as noonday that if the U.S. is allowed to resort to the arbitrary and high-handed practices of violating the sovereignty of the DPRK, it will impose a more shameful indignity upon the DPRK and ask those parties concerned for more crucial concession.
As part of its strategy for world supremacy, the U.S. is now focusing its military forces on the East Asian region embracing regional powers, creating an acute situation of military confrontation.
Illogical is the assertion that the DPRK's satellite launch should meet denunciation and sanctions because it gives an excuse to the U.S. and its allies for making such military actions.
It is as ridiculous as one advising others not to breed fowl for fear of being stolen, while one breeds a cow in one's house.
A burglar should be clubbed to death.
The results of the "Munich Pact" teach a lesson that one-step concession to hegemonic forces leads to one hundred-step concessions and to death in the long run.
The DPRK can never allow its legitimate right to launch satellites for peaceful purposes to be violated by others like the disgraceful fate forced upon Sudeten
area by the "pact". Moreover, it is not like a weak nation that turned into a sacrifice to the "pact".
Time will show what kinds of powerful and physical countermeasure the DPRK will take to defend the nation's dignity and sovereignty and how it will bring to naught the U.S. antagonistic conception and attempt.
Those parties who sided with the U.S. in cooking up the "resolution" should ponder over the consequences to be entailed therefrom. -0-

ASSPUK and JISGE statement on the 10th anniversary of the publication of " THE SONGUN-BASED REVOLUTIONARY LINE IS A GREAT REVOLUTIONARY LINE OF OUR ERA AND AN EVER-VICTORIOUS BANNER OF OUR REVOLUTION"
ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF SONGUN POLITICS UK
http://www.uk-songun.com/index.php email juche007@yahoo.co.ukLondon 29th of January Juche 102(2013)
The ASSPUK and Juche Idea Study Group of England today issued the following joint statement to mark the 10th anniversary of the publication by the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL , " THE SONGUN-BASED REVOLUTIONARY LINE IS A GREAT REVOLUTIONARY LINE OF OUR ERA AND AN EVER-VICTORIOUS BANNER OF OUR REVOLUTION" .
This work written by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il gives a definitive explanation of Songun politics .
The work explains how Songun politics is the powerful mode of politics forsocialism. As the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il has written
"The struggle of the masses of the people for the cause of independence, the cause of socialism, is accompanied by confrontation of power with imperialism and all sorts of other counterrevolutionary forces."
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il explains in the work how the Songun idea is derived from the idea and philosophy of the great leader President Kim Il Sung on giving priority to arms and military affairs. Songun politics carries this to a new higher level.
As the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il mades clear in the Korean revolution has been characterised by acute confrontation with the US imperialist, who are the sworn enemy of the Korean people. Since the 1990s the
attempts of the US imperialists to stifle the DPRK and the Korean revolution have reached their zenith
"Our anti-imperialist, anti-US struggle is the grimmest war to defend the country and a war in defence of socialism. It was only the People’s Army, the revolutionary armed forces, that could perform its mission and role as the standard-bearer of Songun politics".
Thus without Songun politics Korea would have been destroyed or conquered by the US imperialists thus the vitality and justness of Songun politics is clear and indisputable.
It is also explained in this work how Songun politics fully reflect the times and era which are markedly different to the 19th century and early 20th century .
Songun politics is the full embodiment of the Juche idea which is based on independence, It also is not only the treasured sword for defending Juche Korea but the cutting edge of the anti -imperialist class struggle.
This work of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il gives a crystal clear explanation of Songun politics and is a guideline for followers of the Songun idea. On the 10th anniversary of the publication of "THE SONGUN-BASED REVOLUTIONARY LINE IS A GREAT REVOLUTIONARY LINE OF OUR ERA AND AN EVER-VICTORIOUS BANNER OF OUR REVOLUTION" we call for a deeper study of this work and commend it highly.

STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF THE JUST STAND OF THE NATIONAL DEFENCE COMMISSION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF KOREA
KOREAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION( UK )
STAFFORDSHIRE BRANCH
STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF THE JUST STAND OF THE NATIONAL DEFENCE COMMISSION OF THE
DEMOCRATIC PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF KOREA
The
Staffordshire Branch of the UK KFA views with deep concern
the imposition of sanctions by the United Nations' Security Council upon
the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea over the issue of the launch
of the Kwangyongsong No.3 satellite in December 2012. We regard
the decisions of the UNSC over the matter of the peaceful use of outer
space by the DPRK as highly provocative and hypocritical.
The position taken by the DPRK's National Defence Commission on January
23rd, 2012,as being fully justifiable.
Many nations around the world explore space, both for economic and scientific purposes.None
of these countries have faced discriminatory treatment by the United
Nations for exercising their legitimate right to
peacefully utilize outer space. Nothing was said by the UNSC or anybody
else over south Korea's attempted satellite launch, a few years ago. The
United States
in the 1980s
desired to militarized outer space with its "Star Wars" programme.
Peoples Korea encounters everyday threats and intimidation from
the United States, Japan and south Korea. The US has something within
the region of 40,000 troops deployed in south Korea and about a thousand
nuclear weapons aimed at north Korea, stationed in the south. Large
scale military exercises such as "Team Spirit" and "Foal Eagle" are
conducted regularly by the US and south Korea.
These manoeuvres simulated an invasion scenario of north Korea, with
"regime change" being their objective.
Representatives from the
US Administration have called upon the DPRK to disarm unilaterally, but
the United States has never been responsive towards the peace
initiatives taken by the Government of Socialist Korea. Infact,
it is the US that has the biggest nuclear arsenal, with 31,255 warheads
in its stockpiles. History has recorded that it was the United States
which used the atomic bombs first on civilian targets, Hiroshima and
Nagasaki in August 1945.
Since
2008, the south Korean authorities have gone on a course
of confrontation with the north, pushing the situation on the Korean
peninsula to boiling point. The south Korean regime have impeded both
the letter and the spirit of the historic inner Korean agreements of
June, 2000 and October 2007. Due to
the actions of
the clique in Seoul, all the north-south declarations have now
become redundant.
When
the US and its allies can deploy from outside the Korean peninsula
nuclear weapons aimed at the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea and
indeed, target long range missiles armed with atomic warheads, from the
territory of the United States of America itself, the position of
universal disarmament is the only tangible and reasonable one. The
six-party talks and other negotiations , which the DPRK took part in
with sincerity, were nothing but a smokescreen for imperialist pressure
politics. The sole road for ensuring the peace and security of
North-East Asia and the rest of the world, is in the strengthening of
the defence capability of the DPRK. The army and people of Socialist
Korea
will fight to maintain their social system and
national sovereignty with every available means.
We
in the Staffordshire Branch of the Korean Association (UK) fully
endorse the principled stand of the National Defence Commission of the
Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. The friends of Korea urge all
progressive people, every Anti-Imperialist and Peace Campaigner and
Trade Unionist to support the Korean people's fight for national dignity
and independence, against the forces of imperialist aggression. The
Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea is setting a brilliant example to
the peoples of the Global South and to working people throughout the
world, as a state which is truly free and independent.
LONG LIVE THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF KOREA, THE BASTION OF INDEPENDENCE!
LONG LIVE THE KOREAN PEOPLES ARMY, THE DEFENDERS OF PEACE AND JUSTICE!
KOREA IS ONE!
STOP SANCTIONS AGAINST PEOPLES KOREA, NOW!

U.S. Mistook Koreans: KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang,
January 28 (KCNA) -- A consultative meeting of officials in the fields
of state security and foreign affairs in view of the grave situation
prevailing in the DPRK took place under the guidance of Kim Jong Un ,
first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the
DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean
People's Army.
At the meetingKim Jong Un
expressed the firm resolution to take substantial and high-profile
important state measures in view of the prevailing situation and
advanced specific tasks to the officials concerned.
His firm resolution is just one to defend the dignity of the nation and the sovereignty of the country in view of the new situation and circumstances created on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity after the successful launch of the DPRK's satellite.
It is important for us to put a satellite into orbit, but it is more important to defend the legitimate right to the use of space for peaceful purposes.
If the DPRK steps back from this, it will allow its right to existence to be infringed upon, to say nothing of development toward a thriving nation. To defend the right to use space for peaceful purposes is not just the issue of the right to develop space but the issue of defending the sovereignty and achieving the prosperity of the country and the nation.
The hostile forces including the U.S. imperialists regard the DPRK advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism as a thorn in their flesh. The U.S. considers the DPRK emerging a thriving nation in the strategic center of the 21st century as a blatant challenge to its strategy for dominating the Asia-Pacific region. That is why the U.S. uses the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 as the best pretext for bringing down the social system in the DPRK.
The U.S. groundlessly denied the DPRK's right to satellite launch, taking issue with it, and fabricated "a resolution on sanctions" at the UN Security Council this time. This is an unpardonable hostile action as it disclosed the U.S. inveterate repugnancy and enmity towards the ideology and social system chosen by the people in the DPRK.
The DPRK has already warned the U.S. and those countries concerned on historic December 12 when it succeeded in the satellite launch.
Hostility does no good to anyone and with confrontation it is impossible to settle any problem. We hoped to see all countries concerned take a reasonable and calm attitude so that the situation might not develop in the direction contrary to their will and desire.
However, the U.S. disregarded it and took an extremely arrogant attitude of hurting the dignity of the Korean nation. Finally, it cooked up the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK and vociferated about "crucial measures," deliberately straining the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity.
Now that the U.S. hostile strategy to stifle the DPRK by force of arms has reached its height and it has become clear that the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the world is nothing but an empty talk, the DPRK is left with no option but to take strong physical counter-measures to defend its sovereignty.
The DPRK's cause of defending independence and justice is right and its victory is sure to come.
The U.S. will come to know what dear price it will have to pay for insulting and mocking the Koreans.
Satellites and long-range rockets to be launched by the DPRK without let-up and the nuclear test of higher level to be conducted by it in the all-out action, a new stage of the anti-U.S. struggle, will be targeted against the U.S. imperialists, the sworn enemy of the Korean people.
The world will clearly know what tremendous might the servicepersons and people of the DPRK will display and what great history of a thriving nation they will make, aware of the justice of their cause and single-mindedly united behind their leader. -0-

DPRK already the most sanctioned country in the world
Even before the latest UNSC sanctions the DPRK
was one of the most heavily sanctioned countries in the whole world-
The UN already had sanctions as well the US ,EU, Japan and Canada to
name a few . This is clearly an attempt to pile on more sanctions in
order to damage the DPRK economy and stifle socialism in the DPRK . It
is an outrageous action , a declaration of war against the DPRK .
However the imperialists have forgotten that the DPRK for decades
successfully constructed socialism despite conditions of near total blockade by the US and its yes-men.

Kim Jong Un Guides Consultative Meeting of Officials in Fields of State Security and Foreign Affairs
Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- A consultative meeting of officials in
the fields of state security and foreign affairs took place as regards
the grave situation prevailing in the DPRK.
Kim Jong Un , first
secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), first chairman of the
DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean
People's Army (KPA), convened the meeting and guided it.
Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA; Hyon Yong Chol, chief of the General Staff of the KPA; Kim Won Hong, minister of State Security; Pak To Chun and Kim Yong Il, secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK; Hong Sung Mu, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK; and Kim Kye Gwan, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs.
Kim Jong Un received a report on the new situation and circumstances prevailing on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity.
The successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 was an exercise of a legitimate right of a sovereign state and it was recognized by even leading special organs of the U.S. However, a grave situation was created on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity due to the unprecedented anti-DPRK moves of the hostile forces which arbitrarily and provocatively fabricated the "resolution" of the UN Security Council on tightening sanctions against the DPRK.
Since April last year the DPRK has made every possible effort to prove the peaceful nature of the satellite launch; it ensured transparency, going beyond international practice, and chose the time when the situation was relatively peaceful for satellite launch, etc.
However, the hostile forces deliberately denied the DPRK's right to satellite launch in a bid to use it as a pretext for stifling it.
The U.S. and its allies took this high-handed hostile action in wanton violation of the sovereign state's independent right to develop space publicly recognized by international law. This indicates that the U.S. has reached its height in its anti-DPRK strategy to stand in confrontation with it to the last out of inveterate repugnancy and enmity towards the ideology and social system chosen by the people in the DPRK.
This has thrown a grave obstacle to the efforts to be focused by the DPRK on economic construction so that the people may not tighten their belts any longer on the basis of the war deterrence for self-defence provided by leaderKim Jong Il all his life.
Different countries concerned made efforts to fairly solve the problem and prevent the deterioration of the situation. But, it became clear that there was limit to their ability, as they admitted. This fact proved once again that the DPRK should defend its sovereignty by itself.
It also became clear that there can be no denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula before the world has been denuclearized.
At the consultative meetingKim Jong Un
expressed the firm resolution to take substantial and high-profile
important state measures in view of the prevailing situation as the
stand had already been clarified by the National Defence Commission and
the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK through their statements that powerful
physical countermeasures would be taken to defend the dignity of the
nation and the sovereignty of the country. He advanced specific tasks to
the officials concerned. -0-

New Buildings in Pyongyang
New Buildings in Pyongyang
Recently many buildings have sprung up in Pyongyang, the capital city
of the Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea, which are in the
limelight of the international community.
Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital
The Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital newly
built in east Pyongyang is a modern comprehensive medical service and
scientific research centre specializing in the prevention and
treatment of mastopathy, breast cancer and women’s other diseases.
The institute is furnished with mammographer and mammary tissue
exsector as well as multipurpose X-ray camera, latest CT, ultrasonic
wave diagnostic apparatus and electrocardiograph that are few in
number across the world.
The exterior of its four-storyed building is splendid in
architectural beauty but much more splendid is the interior. Its
entrance hall and lounges give you an impression that you are
standing in an art theatre or a palace, not in a hospital. The
dazzling illuminations on the floor, stairs, handrails, ceilings,
walls and pillars covered with high-grade stones are quite fantastic.
Landscapes hung on the cream-coloured walls along the corridors and
exquisitely papered walls of sick wards help the patients in their
treatment by creating a quiet, comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Sick
wards are fully sterilized and provided with every condition for
patients’ treatment, including multifunction beds on which the
patients can freely move their limbs without assistance. Circular
observation halls and observation monitoring tables there are
designed for the nurses to observe the conditions of the in-patients
constantly and treat them promptly.
The mammograph room, X-ray room, physiotherapy room, breast tumour
research room and general operation room are all laid out in an
excellent way. In addition, the institute has laboratories and a
meeting hall for international scientific symposiums and consultative
meetings on the global developing trend in the research of breast
tumour. It has established a nationwide on-line medical care system
for regular medical checkup and early diagnosis and prevention of
mastopathy.
As it offers all medical care free of charge and the state provides
it with sophisticated medical apparatuses and expensive medicines at
its expense, the Breast Tumour Institute is just the heaven for
women.
Ryugyong Health Complex
Built on the banks of the picturesque Taedong River in a unique
style, the Ryugyong Health Complex is a comprehensive public service
establishment.
Its roof patterned after waves and the central hall decorated with
gorgeous lamplights and flowers are reminiscent of a refreshing
indoor park. It is furnished with all necessary conditions for health
promotion–bathrooms, barber’s, massage rooms, beauty parlours and
curative gymnastics halls.
What draws particular attention are the Oriental-style saunas of
different types, including the pine-tree sauna whose floor and walls
are made of pine trees and from whose ceiling pinecones hang, the
stalactite sauna which looks like a fairy-tale cavern and the salt
sauna fixed with a far-infrared therapy device.
The curative gymnastics halls are also impressive with their massage
chairs emitting oxygen, fragrance of a forest and sound of music,
far-infrared ray beds and physical training apparatuses.
What is most astonishing here is that ordinary working people have
access to such expensive apparatuses and facilities.
People’s Open-air Ice Rink and Roller Rink
The People’s Open-air Ice Rink sharing the same roof with the
Ryugyong Health Complex and the Roller Rink standing by its side are
also typical structures among those recently built in Pyongyang.
The former is designed to accommodate international competitions of
various events, including figure skating, speed skating and ice
hockey. It is open all the year round; you can enjoy skating even in
sultry days.
The latter composed of main tracks and a technical training ground is
a favourite haunt of children, those aged between three and six in
particular, and many other Pyongyang citizens.
The new buildings in Pyongyang are a showcase for the reality of
socialist Korea that has been bringing about new successes one after
another in the struggle to build a thriving nation and improve the
people’s living standards.
Kim Jong Un’s Personality and His Smile
Kim Jong Un’s
Personality and His Smile
The world media frequently report
the activities of Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of the Democratic
People’s Republic of Korea. What draws the particular attention is
his smiling image.
His smile represents his fatherly
affection for the Korean people.
He treats everyone with a bright
smile. Whoever he meets, soldiers or civilians, he embraces them in
his arms with a broad smile on his face. Sometimes he walks hand in
hand with them and other times gives them advice on various matters
related with their work and life. When he meets children he pats them
on their cheeks and listens to their whispers unceremoniously. He has
souvenir photographs taken arm in arm with ordinary soldiers and
people. When he visited a women’s coastal artillery company he had
a photograph taken with each of the scores of the company members,
who were reluctant to part from him. All these are a clear testimony
to his love and affection for the Korean service personnel and
people.
His friendly manner is not all
that shows his personality as the great father of the people.
Emphasizing that the people’s
interests should be considered to be absolute and foremost priority,
he devotes his all for them. Once he wrote “Let us serve the
people!” on a report submitted to him. When he visits newly-built
structures he first asks whether the people, the end users, like it
or not, and stresses that things that will be used by the people
should be convenient and flawless.
As he is possessed of such lofty
love for the people, he always treats them with a benevolent smile.
His smile also represents his
confidence that it will not be long before he builds Korea into a
thriving socialist country.
He said that it is a firm
determination of the Workers’ Party of Korea to ensure that the
Korean people do not have
to tighten their belts again, but enjoy all the benefits of
socialism. This is a manifestation of his unshakable faith and will
to turn Korea into a prosperous country without fail by channelling
the greatest effort into the improvement of the people’s living
standards and the building of an economic giant.
The Korean people identify the
prosperous future of their country in the smiling image of Kim Jong
Un who leads the effort to build a thriving country full of
confidence. Upholding his leadership they have achieved successes one
after another in the building of an economic giant full of confidence
in sure victory.
The construction of the
large-scale Huichon Power Station was completed and Changjon Street
composed of modern apartment buildings up to 45 stories was
reconstructed in downtown Pyongyang. The Rungna People’s Pleasure
Park, the Ryugyong Health Complex, the People’s Open-air Ice Rink,
the Roller Rink, the Thongilgori Fitness Centre and the Pyongyang
Folk Park were built for the promotion of the cultural and emotional
life of the people. And many structures conducive to the people’s
living are under construction in various parts of the country.
Now in Korea the term “the
industrial revolution in the new century” is symbolic of the
building of an economic giant. Numerous factories and enterprises
have been equipped with cutting-edge technology and facilities and
noticeable successes made in several sectors including
bioengineering, IT, and communications and nano technologies.
Smile of Kim Jong Un represents
his confidence in final victory in the showdown with the
imperialists.
The Korean people are faced with
challenging tasks to safeguard the country’s sovereignty by
smashing the tenacious moves of the US and its allied forces to
stifle the DPRK and reunify their country by putting an end to the
national division which has lasted nearly 70 years due to the schemes
of foreign forces. It is Kim Jong Un who stands at the forefront of
the severe showdown with imperialism.
In the speech he made at the
military parade in celebration of the centenary of the birth of
President Kim Il Sung in April 2012 Kim Jong Un inspired Korean
people with courage by saying “Forward towards final victory!” In
his speech delivered at the banquet in celebration of the 52nd
anniversary of the commencement of the Songun-based revolutionary
leadership by Chairman Kim Jong Il (August 25, 1960) he stated:
“Comrades, let us be confident of victory. A bright future lies
before our people.”
When the US and south Korea were
staging a hazardous joint military rehearsal Kim Jong Un went to
islet-defending units at the hottest spot to inspect them on a small
wooden ship without guards. At that time his composure and courage
deeply impressed the people all over the world. On that day he
ordered the KPA to immediately launch an annihilating counter
offensive and lead it to an all-out campaign for the reunification of
the country if the enemy dare to drop a single shell in the territory
or territorial waters of the DPRK. Then he reviewed the operational
plan for this and put the final signature on it.
As long as the Korean people are
led by such a great man as Kim Jong Un, only brilliant victory is in
store for them.
Korea Does What It is Determined to Do
Korea Does What It is Determined to Do
On December 12 last year Korea launched its artificial earth
satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2, drawing great international attention.
Whereas many countries broadcast Korea’s success of the launch as a
top news and congratulate it, some forces are making an issue of
Korea’s launch from a dishonest motive.
In retrospect, the US and other imperialist forces, each time Korea
launched an earth satellite, would bring the issue to the UN Security
Council and kicked up a fuss about sanctions against the country.
When Korea announced it would launch Kwangmyongsong 2 in April 2009,
the US and some other countries applied all sorts of groundless
arguments and sophistries to the launch in an attempt to check it.
The armies of the US and south Korea staged various joint military
exercises such as Key Resolve and Foal Eagle plunging the Korean
peninsula into a hair-trigger situation. Describing Korea’s launch
of the peaceful satellite as a “hostile act,” the Japanese
authorities deployed huge forces including destroyers on and around
Korea’s territorial waters and mobilized electronic reconnoitering
equipment, threatening that Japan would intercept the satellite once
it was launched.
To cope with this, Korea declared through a statement of the KPA
General Staff that it would deal an immediate counter attack to the
slightest move of interception of its peaceful satellite. It was a
bombshell declaration to the forces hostile to Korea.
Korea launched Kwangmyongsong 2 by means of launch vehicle Unha 2 on
April 5 as planned.
Many media organs of the world gave wide publicity to Korea’s
launch under such titles as “Korea declared its success of the
launch of its satellite Kwangmyongsong 2,” “Korea’s rocket flew
into the space, causing a great sensation,” “Korea’s success of
the launch is a double victory” and “Korea is a country which
does what it is determined to do.”
Things went similarly over Kwangmyongsong 3-2.
Clamouring that Korea’s launch of Kwangmyongsong 3-2, a peaceful
satellite, was a “violation of the resolution of the UN Security
Council,” a “launch of a long-range missile with a military
purpose” and a “provocative act,” the US, Japan, south Korea
and some other countries deteriorated the situation in the Korean
peninsula.
Nothing daunted, Korea launched its first application satellite in
line with its plan for space development and successfully inserted it
into orbit, demonstrating once again its disposition that it does
what it is determined to do.
Satellite launches were not the only occasion when its disposition
was exhibited.
From long time ago Korea demanded that US nuclear threat against it
be removed and implied time and again that otherwise it might start
equipping itself with a self-defensive nuclear deterrent.
Notwithstanding this, the Bush administration officially included the
country in the list of targets of nuclear preemptive strike. Then,
Korea declared its full withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation
Treaty and conducted underground nuclear test on two occasions (2006
and 2009), proving that it had equipped itself with powerful nuclear
deterrent.
Here is another example.
When the south Korean army, persisting in the illegitimate Northern
Limit Line, announced its plan for gun-firing exercise in the
territorial waters of the north in the West Sea of Korea in 2010, the
Korean People’s Army solemnly warned that it would make an
immediate annihilating counterstrike if a single spark fell on its
territorial waters.
When south Korea provocatively carried out the exercise in disregard
of the warning of the KPA, the KPA turned Yonphyong Island, the base
of the provocation, into a sea of fire.
Now the US and its followers try to kick up another fuss about
international sanctions over Korea’s launch of Kwangmyongsong 3-2
in the UN Security Council. But the international community gives the
cold shoulder to them.
Although they kicked up such a fuss on several occasions, what did
they gain from it? It only resulted in making Korea, a small country,
join the clubs of the nuclear states and space powers which are few
in number.
Korea does what it is determined to do. The international community
clearly witnessed this through the launch of Kwangmyongsong 3-2.
The US Must Draw a Lesson from the Pueblo Incident
The US Must Draw a Lesson from the Pueblo
Incident
Forty five years have elapsed since the Pueblo Incident
occurred, which precipitated a touch-and-go situation on the Korean
peninsula.
On January 23, 1968, a naval vessel of the Korean People’s Army,
during a routine patrol, captured the US armed spy ship Pueblo
and more than 80 of its crew in the act of committing espionage after
illegally intruding into the territorial waters of the DPRK.
In capturing them, the DPRK was exercising its sovereign right as a
dignified sovereign state.
However, the US clamoured about “retaliation,” claiming that the
ship was in international waters and did not engage in espionage. In
fact, this was the first American vessel in history that was captured
by the navy of a foreign country. It was indeed a great shame for the
US. The US political circles were utterly dismayed, the National
Security Council meeting on January 24 and 25 in succession and
adopting resolutions for military “retaliation.”
Accordingly, a task force with the nuclear aircraft carrier
Enterprise as a flagship moved out toward the sea off Wonsan,
Korea, and several hundreds of fighter-bombers headed for south
Korea. An “emergency mobilization order” was given to the US army
stationed in Japan and south Korea.
Not satisfied with this, the US brought in two more aircraft
carriers.
The world watched the developments on the Korean peninsula with
anxiety. The leadership of the former Soviet Union, an ally of the
DPRK, urged its counterpart to release the US ship, reasoning that a
war might break out if the DPRK mishandled the incident and the
Vietnamese war unleashed by the US, as well as the Spanish war, had
been triggered by a ship incident.
To this the DPRK responded by declaring that it would retaliate
against the “retaliation” and return all-out war for the “all-out
war.”
The DPRK was in full combat readiness, and everyone thought a war was
inevitable in Korea.
Facing a duel of force and an exchange of fire, the US backtracked.
Overpowered by the Korean army and people who regarded the
sovereignty and dignity of their country as more important than their
own lives, the US proposed a dialogue to the DPRK government. In
December that year, the US signed a letter of apology in which it
confessed that its ship intruded into the territorial waters of the
DPRK and committed hostile acts, and gave assurances that it would
not do the same in the future. As the then President Johnson
admitted, it was the first apology of the US.
Through the Pueblo Incident, the DPRK showed its full
determination to fight to the finish against those who infringe upon
its sovereignty without making any concession.
The US should have drawn a due lesson from the incident. In later
days, however, it has persisted in acts of espionage, military
provocations, arms buildup and military drills against the DPRK. Some
examples are the shooting down of the spy plane EC-121 in 1969, the
Panmunjom Incident in 1976, the crash landing of a helicopter in the
DPRK’s airspace in December 1994, and the fleeing of the electronic
reconnaissance plane RC-135 after being frightened by the hot pursuit
of the KPA plane while perpetrating espionage in the DPRK’s
airspace in March 2003. In all these incidents, widely known to the
world, the US was subjected to a stern punishment by the DPRK.
Now the US is boisterous about “detente,” “peace” and “end
of war” and “dialogue” on the Korean peninsula, but as a matter
of fact, it is steeped in political stratagems and military
provocations to suffocate the DPRK.
The DPRK is constantly on the alert, keeping a sharp watch for the US
moves.
Counter provocations with an immediate counteroffensive, and an
aggressive war with a war of justice for the country’s
reunification–this is the stand and will of the DPRK’s army and
people at present. It may be claimed to be an advanced version of the
DPRK’s declaration that it would retaliate against the
“retaliation” and return all-out war for the “all-out war.”
The DPRK has already won international recognition as a military
power and nuclear state. It has acquired inexhaustible military
capabilities of dealing an instant and merciless blow to anybody who
intrudes even an inch into its territory, waters and airspace,
regardless of where they are from.
The US must never forget the disgraceful incident of 45 years ago.

S. Korean Authorities Accused of Fabricating UN "Resolution" with Foreign Forces
ongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea released the following statement on Friday:
There took place another astonishing case. The U.S. and its followers cooked up a "resolution on tightening sanctions" at the UN Security Council by terming the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes an inter-continental ballistic missile launch.
The fabrication of "the resolution" this time represents the height of the hostile policy toward the DPRK and moves to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK as it is the last-ditch efforts of the hostile forces displeased with the ever-increasing authority and national power of the DPRK.
What should not be overlooked is that the south Korean puppet group of traitors took the lead in fabricating the "resolution".
When satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 of the DPRK lifted off in December last year, the group desperately took issue with it, talking about "provocation" and "blatant challenge" against the international community. It worked hard to see the UN apply additional "sanctions" against the DPRK, vociferating about "strong counteraction" and "tightened sanctions".
The minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and other mandarins of the south Korean regime visited theU.S., Japan and other neighboring countries to discuss "close cooperation at the UN" and asked them for their active participation in the moves for tightening "sanctions against the north". Not content with this, the south Korean group unhesitatingly submitted a "proposal for additional sanctions against the north" to the UN.
It is the group which clamored for "independent additional sanctions" together with the U.S. and it is again the group which was the first to utter "welcome" and "implementation of the resolution" right after its fabrication at the UNSC.
The world knows no such hordes of traitors who worked with bloodshot eyes to escalate the confrontation with fellow countrymen in league with foreign forces as the south Korean group.
The row kicked up by the group against the DPRK over its satellite launch is aimed to tarnish its image, save the face of the group that fell to the ground and deliver the anti-DPRK policy from its total bankruptcy.
The group salvaged wreckages of the DPRK's carrier rocket Unha-3 from waters of the West Sea and was stunned by the high level of its technology.
As fellow countrymen the group should have been pleased with the great event to be recorded specially in the national history spanning five thousand years, the event which fully demonstrated the dignity and might of the nation. Nevertheless, it behaved so foolishly. This shows it is betenoire bereft of an iota of reason as human beings.
The army and people of the DPRK are greatly infuriated by the fabrication of the UN "resolution" by the U.S. and its allies and the group's desperate efforts.
The Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea vehemently rejects the UN "resolution" in the name of all the fellow countrymen, branding it as an unpardonable grave challenge to the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK and the Korean people.
It, at the same time, strongly condemns the reckless behavior of the group taking the lead in faking up the UN "resolution" in league with foreign forces as the most despicable act of treachery and an unbearable provocation against the DPRK.
In view of the prevailing grave situation the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea solemnly declares the following counter-measures against the south Korean puppet group, representing the towering anger and unanimous will of the army and the people of the DPRK and all other Koreans.
Now that the south Korean puppet conservative group is more desperately kicking up a racket against the DPRK over its nuclear and missile issues with the U.S., there will be no more discussion on denuclearization between the north and the south in the future.
In this connection, we declare complete nullification of the "Joint Declaration on Denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula" adopted in 1992 and its total invalidity.
The joint declaration already proved a dead paper long ago due to the moves of the U.S. and the puppet group for a nuclear war against the north and their nuclear rackets against it. It is needless to say that there is no need for us to be bound to the declaration.
As long as the south Korean puppet group of traitors persistently pursues a hostile policy toward the DPRK, we will never negotiate with anyone.
The historical lesson shows that there is nothing to be solved when meeting with those who pursue confrontation with the DPRK and this will only bedevil the inter-Korean relations.
The group should not think about any dialogue with us as long as it sticks to the policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen.
If the puppet group of traitors takes a direct part in the UN "sanctions," the DPRK will take strong physical counter-measures against it.
"Sanctions" mean a war and a declaration of war against us.
We have already declared that "we would react to provocation with immediate retaliatory blows and a war of aggression with a great war of justice for national reunification."
The group would be well advised to stop acting rashly, bearing in mind this warning served by us.
All our service personnel and people will never allow the reckless confrontation moves of the group.
Those who dare stand in the way of our just cause will never be able to escape deadly retaliatory blows. -0-

ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA support DPRK NDC statement on UNSC resolution
ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF SONGUN POLITICS UK
http://www.uk-songun.com/index.php email juche007@yahoo.co.ukLondon 24th of January Juche 102(2013)
Our organisations , the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK, Juche Idea Study Group of England and the UK Korean Friendship Association support the statement of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK issued on the 24th of January 2013.
The actions of the US imperialists in directing their marionette 'UN Security Council' to adopt an anti DPRK resolution , resolution 2087 , have gone beyond the limit of patience and tolerance. The UNSC resolution is virtually a declaration of war against the DPRK and it is certainly a flagrant violation of the independence and sovereignty of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It is unprecedented for sanctions to be applied against a civilian space agency and honoured scientists banned from travelling. How would the US have reacted if NASA had been the subject of international sanctions ! . The UNSC resolution epitomises double standards and hypocrisy.
It is very clear that the UNSC under the manipulation of the US imperialists is attempting to act as a shock brigade in the dirty work of undermining and stifling Juche-based Korean style socialism. The US imperialists have even enlisted those unprincipled big powers that sold out to imperialism as well as the usual international reactionary forces of puppet states and vassals in their sinister anti DPRK campaign. The anti DPRK campaign of the US imperialists and other reactionaries has gone to extremes.
It is only just that the DPRK NDC should declare all-out actions against the US imperialists and dishonest forces. US imperialism is not only the sworn enemy of the Korean nation but is also the chieftain of the world reactionary forces, main force of aggression and war, citadel of modern colonialism and strangler of national independence and national liberation.
The stance of the DPRK that the six-party talks and September 19th statement no longer exist is indeed a just one. The US imperialists have systematically destroyed the basis of the September 19th statement by their continuous hostile policy towards the DPRK which has not only included sanctions but also actual physical war exercises directed at the DPRK in and around the Korean peninsula. The six-party talks were just a smokescreen to stifle socialism in the DPRK. We support the correct stance of the DPRK towards dialogue. There can only be a lasting peace on the Korean peninsula when every single US soldier in south Korea goes home and all US military bases and hardware are removed from south Korea.
We support the will of the DPRK expressed in the NDC statement to fight it out to the last in all out confrontation with US imperialism the sworn enemy of the Korean people . Let the US imperialists tremble with fear the sound of the thunder of a DPRK nuclear test !. The DPRK 's victory in the anti US, anti-imperialist struggle will be a powerful inspiration to the oppressed peoples of the world and the international working class struggling for independence, national liberation and socialism. We salute the courageous and heroic Juche Korea of Songun that is fighting alone against US imperialism . We condemn those whining about " calm and restraint". May the DPRK's victory be final and total !
We are sure that under the leadership of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un the Korean people holding high the glorious red flag of Songun-based anti US
anti-imperialist will win final victory in their struggle.

DPRK Citizens Who Had Been Taken to S. Korea Interviewed after Return
Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Kwang Ho and his wife and Ko Kyong
Hui were interviewed by local and foreign journalists at the People's
Palace of Culture here Thursday after their return to the DPRK. They
were carried to south Korea after being taken in by the south Korean
puppet group's appeasement and allurement.
Present at the press conference were journalists of media in the DPRK and journalists of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and foreign countries.
Kim Kwang Ho and his wife and Ko Kyong Hui first spoke of the circumstances in which they were taken to south Korea.
Kim Kwang Ho, 37, who was born in Yonsu-ri, Yonsa County, North Hamgyong Province, stealthily went to China in August 2009 together with his fiance Kim Ok Sil, 29. During the Arduous March he had illegally crossed the border several times looking for money and had been subject to penalty under relevant law.
He testified to the fact that he was taken in by priest called Ri Yo Sep and those aligned with the south Korean puppet forces in China and was taken to south Korea.
Kim Ok Sil who was born in Sangdam-ri, Paekam County, Ryanggang Province illegally crossed the DPRK-China border together with Kim Kwang Ho. In China they were deceived by stooges of the south Korean Intelligence Service and went to south Korea.
Kim Kwang Ho said that south Korea was a dirty society.
He said that he made up his mind to come back to the DPRK in late last year with his back turned on the cursed south Korean society after listening to the news of a press conference given by Pak Jong Suk in June last year upon her return to the DPRK. Pak had been taken to south Korea.
Ko Kyong Hui, 37, who was residing in Kanggu-dong, Hyesan City, Ryanggang Province, said that she illegally crossed the border in March 2011, adding that she was deceived by a man called Director General Ho in Shenyang and was taken to south Korea in June.
She noted: She was spending days and months that were like nightmare. One day she lied she would bring her children in the north and made her way to the homeland through China.
They answered the questions raised by journalists.
Referring to the rackets of "defectors from the north" and "human rights" being kicked up by the south Korean puppet forces even though they allure and abduct residents of the DPRK in a mean way, Ko Kyong Hui said:
Some of those who went to south Korea fled the DPRK after committing crimes but most of them were taken to south Korea being allured and taken in by the puppet forces in the countries around the DPRK.
The south Korean puppet forces are calling them "defectors from the north."
The case is the same with me.
I illegally crossed the border because I was told that I can make money in China. My intention was not to go to south Korea.
A man called Director General Ho whom I made acquaintance with in Shenyang took me to Beijing, saying that I have to go to Beijing if I want to make money.
In Beijing he said that it is hard to find a job because of differing language and control that has become tighter. In the end he suggested my going to south Korea.
When I opposed, he recommended Canada, saying that in Canada I can make money and it will be possible for me to go back to the homeland once I attain the Canadian citizenship.
He further said that he has no other way to help, half-appeasing and half-threatening that if I don't like going to Canada, I may go back home by myself.
Later I went to a "refugee camp" in Thailand via Kunming, China, following several men.
The "refugee camp" was a building for controlling illegal immigrants. Only there I learned that it was a sheer lie that I would be sent to Canada.
The puppet forces prepared a separate room for detaining DPRK residents in the "refugee camp" and are plotting to take them to south Korea.
Kim Kwang Ho said that the south Korean puppet forces have distributed its stooges in neighboring countries and continue sordid acts to carry DPRK citizens to south Korea.
South Korean priest Ri Yo Sep whom he met in China was a man engaged in taking DPRK citizens to south Korea while traveling to and from China, he said, adding:
Kim Yong Hwa, chairman of the "confederation for human rights of refugees from the north" who allured me to south Korea, was doing the same work.
He let loose a string of honeyed words that we will be provided shelter and settlement fund in south Korea and that we can be better off if we work hard.
As soon as we were released from "Hana Center", the building for temporarily keeping defectors to the south, he called at us and urged me to pay the amount specified in the written guarantee, adding that only then can he bring other people.
This shows that even though the south Korean puppet forces loudly speak of "defectors from the north", they are, in fact, forcibly bringing DPRK citizens with the use of their stooges whom they distributed in different parts outside south Korea.
Mentioning their life experience in south Korea, Kim Kwang Ho and his wife and Ko Kyong Hui said that south Korea is a society where money is almighty and an evil society full of extreme individualism and misanthropy.
Turning to the anti-DPRK confrontation moves of the south Korean puppet forces, Kim Kwang Ho continued:
Detective Sim Hyong Gu who was in charge of me came to my worksite one day in 2011 and showed me kindness, offering me seasoned rice rolled in laver and sausages.
He asked me what I think about "Cheonan" warship sinking case.
When I questioned "Why do you ask me that question", he said that he asks all other "defectors from the north" the same question.
I told him that I think carelessness was to blame and asked if it is possible for a torpedo to get rusty soon after it was shot. I further said people see it as a trick of the south Korean authorities.
His face turned white with rage and he packed food and went away.
He became angry because the thing did not go as he planned. He was going to build up public opinion in the direction of blaming the "Cheonan" warship sinking case on the north through the mouths of those who came from the north.
There took place in south Korea last September a "north Korean human rights film festival" aimed at slandering the DPRK. There was an advertisement that the movies will be shown free.
Huge fund was spent for making those films. It did not stand to reason that the films will be shown free in south Korea where even flea's skin will be collected if it is thought to make money.
Later I learned that the south Korean authorities held the farce by squandering huge funds to instill bitterness to the DPRK in south Koreans.
Ko Kyong Hui said that the south Korean puppet forces are keen on collecting information that can be used for staging smear campaign against the DPRK.
Through the "defectors from the north", the puppet forces are working hard to collect information about the economy of the DPRK and the locations of national institutions, she added.
Ko Kyong Hui and Kim Kwang Ho said that they were unpunished and leniently treated instead of being punished on their return to the DPRK, stressing that the future of the DPRK is bright as the leader and the people are making devoted efforts for the prosperity of the country in one mind. -0-

DPRK NDC Issues Statement Refuting UNSC Resolution
DPRK NDC Issues Statement Refuting UNSC Resolution
Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- The
National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK issued a statement on
Thursday.
It said:
Our successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 was a great jubilee in the history of the nation as it placed the nation's dignity and honor on the highest plane and a spectacular success made in the efforts to develop space for peaceful purposes recognized by the world.
The world people who love justice and value conscience unanimously rejoice as their own over the signal success made by our country, not a big one, by its own efforts.
Even space institutions of a hostile country accustomed to have repugnancy towards others could not but recognize the DPRK's successful satellite launch for peaceful purposes, from a low-profile stance.
This being a hard reality, the U.S. at the outset of the year termed our satellite launch "long-range missile launch," "wanton violation" of the UN resolutions and "blatant challenge" to world peace and security in a bid to build up public opinion on this. Finally, it prodded the UNSC into cooking up a new resolution on tightening sanctions against the DPRK.
The keynote of the resolution was worked out through backstage dealing with the U.S. as a main player and it was adopted at the UNSC with blind hand-raising by its member nations. This goes to clearly prove that the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has entered a new dangerous phase.
This shows, at the same time, that those big countries, which are obliged to take the lead in building a fair world order, are abandoning without hesitation even elementary principle, under the influence of the U.S. arbitrary and high-handed practices, failing to come to their senses.
Moreover, this also indicates that the UNSC, which should regard it as its mission to guarantee sovereign rights and security of its member nations, has turned into a defunct marionette international body on which no hope can be pinned.
The DPRK National Defence Commission solemnly declares as follows as regards the adoption of the entirely unreasonable resolution on the DPRK:
We totally reject all the illegal resolutions on the DPRK adopted by the UNSC.
We have never recognized all forms of base resolutions tightening sanctions cooked up by the hostile forces to encroach upon the DPRK's sovereignty.
Sovereignty is what keeps a country and nation alive.
The country and the nation without sovereignty are more dead than alive.
The satellite launch was the exercise of an independent right pertaining to the DPRK as well as its legitimate sovereignty recognized by international law.
Therefore, the U.S. and those countries which launched satellites before have neither justification nor reason to find fault with the DPRK's satellite launch.
They are making a brigandish assertion that what they launched were satellites but what other country launched was a long-range missile. They are seriously mistaken if they think this assertion can work in the bright world today.
The U.S. should clearly know that the times have changed and so have the army and the people of the DPRK.
Along with the nationwide efforts to defend the sovereignty, the DPRK will continue launching peaceful satellites to outer space one after another.
2. As the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has entered more dangerous phase, overall efforts should be directed to denuclearizing big powers including the U.S. rather than the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The biggest threat to the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula is the hostile policy toward the DPRK being pursued by all kinds of dishonest forces including the U.S. as well as the U.S. huge nuclear armed forces that back the policy.
The army and people of the DPRK drew a final conclusion that only when the denuclearization of the world is realized on a perfect level including the denuclearization of the U.S., will it be possible to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula and ensure peace and security of the DPRK.
The U.S. is taking the lead in encroaching upon the sovereignty of the DPRK, its allies are siding with it and the UN Security Council has been reduced into an organization bereft of impartiality and balance. Under this situation the DPRK can not but declare that there will no longer exist the six-party talks and the September 19 joint statement.
No dialogue on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula will be possible in the future even though there may be dialogues and negotiations on ensuring peace and security in the region including the Korean Peninsula.
3. We will launch an all-out action to foil the hostile policy toward the DPRK being pursued by the U.S. and those dishonest forces following the U.S., and safeguard the sovereignty of the country and the nation.
The UN Security Council resolution on expanding sanctions against the DPRK, which was adopted on the initiative of the U.S., represents the most dangerous phase of the hostile policy toward the DPRK.
The army and people of the DPRK will never remain an on-looker to such happenings in which the sovereignty of the nation is encroached upon and the supreme interests of the country are violated.
Under the prevailing situation, the army and people of the DPRK will turn out in an all-out action to defend its sovereignty which is more precious than their own lives and frustrate the moves of the U.S. and its allies to isolate and stifle the DPRK.
The drive for building an economic power being pushed forward by the army and people of the DPRK, the effort to conquer space that has entered a new phase and the endeavors to bolster the deterrence for safeguarding the country and defending its security will all orientate toward the purpose of winning in the all-out action for foiling the U.S. and all other hostile forces' maneuvers.
We do not hide that a variety of satellites and long-range rockets which will be launched by the DPRK one after another and a nuclear test of higher level which will be carried out by it in the upcoming all-out action, a new phase of the anti-U.S. struggle that has lasted century after century, will target against the U.S., the sworn enemy of the Korean people.
Settling accounts with the U.S. needs to be done with force, not with words as it regards jungle law as the rule of its survival.
The world will clearly see how the army and people of the DPRK punish all kinds of hostile forces and emerge as a final victor while following the just road of defending its sovereignty, convinced of the justice of its cause.
